G20: The Beginning Of A New World Vision

Iceberg disintegrating in storm at sea

The increasingly irrelevant G20 Summit concluded with sure signs that BRICS+ will be the way forward for Global South cooperation. The redeeming quality of a tense G20 held in Bali – otherwise managed by laudable Indonesian graciousness – was to sharply define which way the geopolitical winds are blowing. That was encapsulated in the Summit’s two highlights: the much anticipated China-US presidential meeting – representing the most important bilateral relationship of the 21st century – and the final G20 statement. The 3-hour, 30-minute-long face-to-face meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Joe Biden – requested by the White House – took place at the Chinese delegation’s residence in Bali, and not at the G20 venue at the luxury Apurva Kempinski in Nusa Dua. https://thecradle.co/Article/Columns/18477

Eclipses tend to bring about endings and new beginnings. They offer a time to resynchronize our selves with the ever-changing cosmic currents supporting our evolutionary progression in consciousness. While an eclipse is worldwide in scope, its effect is more predominantly felt at places where the eclipse aligns with the horizon or meridian.

The May 16th lunar eclipse fell on the meridian at Nusa Dua, Indonesia implying that this was one place where its effect would be extremely significant. Regular readers will recall that the effect of the eclipse is felt most powerfully when progressions bring it to the angles as for example on Nov. 15th when the progressed meridian aligned once again with the eclipse axis and the progressed ascendant conjoined Saturn triggering its square to the Nodes and Uranus.

The Total Lunar Eclipse on the Soth Node is particularly potent in terms of its disintegrative and dissolving impact, corresponding with much larger and sweeping tides irrevocably altering our collective landscape. In Scorpio, the eclipse Moon is in her fall. Releasing, emptying, purging, detoxifying, decluttering and decomposing are all typical keywords that astrologers generally link to lunar eclipses aligned with the South Node.

Since the Moon holds memories and material from our past as well as unconscious patterns we have been replicating, the alignment of the Moon with her own South Node can facilitate a release of past accumulated material as new developments, desires, and presence emerge through the alignment of the Sun with the North Node.

The harsh square aspect between Saturn with the eclipse will make things real, forcing to the surface underlying emotional dynamics and previously hidden material that can be utilized to reassess boundaries within relationships. Saturn in Aquarius - the sign of the humanitarian Water Bearer - is pushing for a collective future vision that is caring and compassionate.

The trine aspect of the eclipse Moon to Mars/Neptune in Pisces symbolically presents the backdrop to world events.

Pisces is an era of storms and of wholesale disintegration. But Piscean winds of destiny may impel men of vision and courage to discover many a "new world," as much as they do destroy or suffocate the many who stubbornly resist change. The once-powerful Empire is attacked from all sides by waves of destructive energy, by the rip-tide of Barbarian invasions. New blood is flowing into the old ruling classes, utterly transforming them. The proud "isolationists" are swept away when they refuse to link themselves up to the rising crest of the spring-to-be — as wintry icebergs are sent to liquid deaths by the equinoctial storms which rage through the Piscean period. The May 16th Full Moon lunar eclipse is closely related to the message of the previous New Moon solar eclipse of April 30th. In my post on the Solar Eclipse [1] I wrote:

So with this cycle, we see a new vision (Uranus) of the myth of the world (Neptune) passing through the familiar eight stages of development. From the initial conjunction, (slavery to institutions) we have now reached (2017-19) the 1st semi-square stage of this cycle. The new vision challenges the old , but without yet seeming substantial enough to be a threat to the pre-existing myth.

The existing myth is symbolized by the US and its western alliance while the new vision is that presented by China and the Global South.
