Neptune Stations Direct Undermining Illusions

 

Many of us live in a world of delusions (Neptune). A delusion is defined as a state of irrational belief that holds even when there is strong evidence to the contrary. With its connection to delusions, Neptune is linked to “mirages” or appearances that belie reality. 

But the actual purpose of Neptune is to undermine things from within. In the material world he causes things to decay. And on the mental level he will eat away at everything we believe in by discrediting all that we hold to be true. But Neptune cannot undermine if he did not at the same time hold before us some ideal to be contrasted with its faulty reality. If a true reality is to be appreciated and outwardly realized then a false reality must be shown up for what it is. When we truly come to understand Neptune, we may find that he is actually the revealer of reality. 

With Neptune stationing direct today (Dec. 3 -4), we need to remember the underlying intent of Neptune retrograde cycles - to dissolve the boundaries of the known universe. Each inversion period of Neptune smoothly dislodges us from a previously certain attitude or perception. Fantasies of a perfect world are created and gradually undone —the retrograde cycles perform the untethering ritual.

 

The ability to distinguish between reality and fiction in one’s own thoughts is an important aspect of our development. Here are two examples from current news that show Neptune at work. Both the examples are from the US and can be understood if we look at the US Sibly where Neptune has been transiting in the 3^rd house opposite its radix position in 9^th and square Mars in the 7^th. 

In mundane astrology, the 3^rd house rules media and propaganda [1] while the 7^th house, among other things, is war and enemies of the nation [2] 

The first news story is about Musk’s release of Twitter files on the Hunter Biden laptop story smashing the lies that have been perpetuated by the media [3]. 

The second story is about the “Massive Lying About The War In Ukraine” [4] and the recent feelers being sent by the Biden administration to Russia for early peace talks - an awakening to the reality that the war is lost. The Mars-Neptune square in the US Sibly and in current transits can be simply interpreted as an illusion (Neptune) of strength (Mars). 

If we remember astrology sees all of reality as symbolic in nature, then might the uncovering of a couple of illusions be a signal that several other false beliefs might be undermined in the coming days.
