The Department of Energy plans to announce Tuesday that scientists have been able for the first time to produce a fusion reaction that creates a net energy gain — a major milestone in the decades-long, multibillion-dollar quest to develop a technology that provides unlimited, cheap, clean power. The aim of fusion research is to replicate the nuclear reaction through which energy is created on the sun. https://wapo.st/3BqsD1Z
In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun (entry into the four cardinal signs/ constellations, i.e. 00 deg of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn ) have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. Of these the Capricorn ingress chart is of special importance and is often referred to as an annual or world chart.
Presented here is the chart for the upcoming Capricorn ingress drawn for Washington DC. As always planetary combinations aspecting the angles are the ones to focus on. Here we have (a) Sun [0cp] square Jupiter [0ar] aligned with the horizon (b) Moon [8sa] opposite Mars [11ge] in T-square with the meridian.
Jupiter, the Planet of luck, abundance, and expansion moving out of dreamy Pisces and into fiery Aries, the sign of new beginnings promises good fortune as we move into new territory - here new technology.
Next we notice that the Moon-Mars opposition is aligned with the “nuclear axis”.
What is the Nuclear Axis?
The first self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction occurred, in a makeshift laboratory on a squash court in Chicago (December 2, 1942, at 3:25 pm CWT). A rare conjunction of Saturn and Uranus in Gemini was rising. This was closely opposed by a conjunction in Sagittarius, including the Sun and Mercury.
Repeated nuclear events over the past 58 years have led some astrologers to describe these degrees across early Gemini-Sagittarius as "the nuclear axis," which is highly sensitive to transits. One critical degree in this axis appears to be Saturn's location at the time of the first chain reaction, 8 degrees 56 minutes of Gemini. http://www.stariq.com/pagetemplate/article.asp?PageID=1116
Working together the two combination aligned with the angles are promising abundance /good fortune as the US prepares to announce a major milestone in nuclear technology.
But this event has a greater symbolic meaning. A world that was dependent on fossil fuel (metaphorically - the ancestral past) is ready to move into a modern era of nuclear fusion technology (metaphorically power coming from within an individual...with no allegiance to his cultural past).
Readers would be aware that in 2023, Pluto enters Aquarius. Aquarius is an archetype that typically impels us to break from the past and to liberate from structures that no longer serve evolution. As it enters Aquarius it moves over the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction degree [0aq29] of 21st Dec. 2020. Prior to this conjunction in 2020, Pluto conjoined both Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn. Capricorn is about subservience to authority. If Pluto is the planet that we associate with integrity, the Pluto/Saturn and Pluto/Jupiter conjunctions in Capricorn tell us that whatever happens, we have to get real, take more responsibility than we ever have before, and embrace a much needed social maturation that asks of all of us ‘adults’, to step up and reach for greater personal sovereignty and self-determination. In this sense, the potential represented by the Saturn/Jupiter rebirth in Aquarius, can only be made possible through a fundamental evolution in societal responsibility built at the individual level.
And finally here is the Sabian symbol for Mars [11ge21] on the “nuclear axis”.
