Up to half a million British teachers, civil servants, and train drivers walked out over pay in the largest coordinated strike action for a decade on Wednesday, with unions threatening more disruption as the government digs its heels in over pay demands. In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun (entry into the four cardinal signs/ constellations, i.e. 00 deg of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn ) have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. Of these the Capricorn ingress chart is of special importance and is often referred to as an annual or world chart.

 

 

Here is the Capricorn ingress chart for London. Notice the placement of Moon in the 4^th afflicted by Mars in the 10^th . In mundane astrology, the 10^th rules the government while the 4^th rules those who oppose it. 

In his book Mundane or National Astrology, H.S. Green writes: 

The Moon signifies the People as contrasted with the Monarch, the Democracy as contrasted with the Aristocracy, the general public. 

If the Moon is seriously afflicted in the 4^th “the people may suffer or be discontented” . Here with the affliction coming from Mars, the people are “angry”. 

Going further we notice that the Moon is conjunct the star Antares, alpha Scorpii. About Antares, Nick Fiorenza writes: 

Antares ensures that the current and accepted approaches and visions do not become static or antiquated. It ensures growth, evolution and change. If the Scorpion meets those stuck in their antiquated modality of life, its sting is not far off - hence its classical association with rebellious and destructive forces. When there are rebellious and terrorizing forces assaulting the established order, this reflects the need to realize that the established order is no longer supporting in ways truly nourishing to the needs of the people, and requires some type of reform - reform that if denied, may result in some level of unneeded destruction.

On Jan. 13^th retrograding Mars stationed to go direct at [8ge08] opposite the ingress Moon [8sa51]. Yesterday, Feb. 1^st , Mars was transiting at [10ge23] within a degree of conjunction to the ingress Mars [11ge21] activating the opposition.
