Astrology of the Titan submersible disaster

Believe the Chart… Charts are true. Utterly. With a precision that can stun. The task, then, is to learn and understand the factors and techniques that reveal the truth and to honor, serve and embrace the knowledge of self and the profound gift of life events.

-Martha Wescott

 The Fall of Bellerophon

On 18 June 2023, Titan, a submersible operated by OceanGate, went missing in international waters in the North Atlantic Ocean some 400 nautical miles (740 km) from the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.[2] The submersible with five people on board was on a tourist expedition to view the wreck of the Titanic. Communication was lost with Titan 1 hour and 45 minutes into its dive to the wreck site; authorities were notified when it did not resurface at its scheduled time later that day. On 22 June, after nearly 80 hours of searching, a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) discovered a debris field containing parts of the Titan approximately 488 m (1,600 ft) from the bow of the Titanic. The pressure vessel is believed to have suffered a catastrophic failure only hours after Titan began descent, killing all on board instantly. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Titan_submersible_incident

In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun (entry into the four cardinal signs/ constellations, i.e. 00 deg of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn ) have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. The Sun has just moved into Cancer as the news of the Titan disaster comes to light. A chart for the cardinal ingress (summer solstice) of the Sun drawn for the exact location of the disaster has the Sun prominently placed on the MC conjunct the asteroid Atlantis that Martha Wescott  associates with “water related disasters” and square Neptune in Pisces (ocean) on the descendant. Neptune[28pi] is conjunct the star Scheat. On 18 June 2023, the date of the disaster, a New Moon [26ge] fell on the MC of the ingress chart thereby activating it.

Beta (β) Pegasus, Scheat, is a deep yellow star on the leg of the Winged Horse. The mythical story of the fall of Bellerophon (see image) from the Winged Horse Pegasus is linked to this star. There is a tendency to go overboard in some way, overextending oneself or living in a fool’s paradise where we think nothing will go wrong.

Tied up with 'malefics', this (Scheat) could lead the native to lose his life in catastrophes, such as floods, shipwreck, mining accidents, airplane accidents, or maybe suicide. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.82.] [1]

Finally notice that that the near conjunction of Venus-Mars in mid Leo makes hard aspects to both the Sun and Neptune. Recall that Leo is associated both with “daring” as well as “recreation and pleasure sports” so that together the combination sums up the disaster quite accurately.

PS

James Cameron: “I’m struck by the similarity of the Titanic disaster itself, where the captain was repeatedly warned about ice ahead of his ship and yet he steamed at full speed into an ice field.". https://twitter.com/StellarInsights/status/1672081721825841157

The chart for the sinking of the Titanic holds the answer...it has Jupiter opposite Pluto aligned with the horizon axis. Overconfidence and/or recklessness (Jupiter) meets hidden dangers (Pluto). But why now? With the New Moon of 18 June at [26ge] conjunct Pluto [27ge] in the radix triggering the Jupiter/Pluto opposition...we once again have a repeat of the same energies that led to the Titanic disaster.

A 2019 article published in Smithsonian magazine referred to Rush as a "daredevil inventor". In the article, Rush is described as having said the U.S. Passenger Vessel Safety Act of 1993 "needlessly prioritized passenger safety over commercial innovation".In a 2022 interview, Rush told CBS News, "At some point, safety just is pure waste. I mean, if you just want to be safe, don't get out of bed. Don't get in your car. Don't do anything."

Going further notice that the current New Moon square Neptune aligns with the radix Pluto-Admetus square with Neptune conjunct Admetus. For this square Martha Wescott has:

Admetus-Pluto: to see that things reach critical mass – in other words, although one has been able to stand up under increasing pressure, the burden finally becomes too great and there must be some relief/release (or collapse?)

...add the Neptune transit...and we can see why it is the ocean (Neptune in Pisces) that caused the collapse or implosion of the submersible.
