Instagram is a photo and video sharing social networking service owned by American company Meta Platforms with its headquarters at Menlo Park, California. A chart for the May 5th lunar eclipse at Menlo Park has the Moon placed in the 5th house associated with children [1]. The Scorpio Moon is eclipsed in the second decan of Scorpio associated with the Six of Cups card illustrated above by Pamela Colman Smith. The image reveals the virtuous innocence of giving and receiving.
Coppock warns that innocent relational exchanges rooted in trust also brings to mind the antithesis of broken trust and toxic relational dynamics that can be found in the second decan of Scorpio. While the news about Instagram is a very negative example of the misuse of the eclipse energy, it is easy to forget that difficult things happen when we are unconscious of the positive expression of those energies. The Sabian symbol of the eclipse Moon is about the need to retain our innocence.

A child does not concern itself with philosophy or morality overmuch; it plays. Being true to ourselves is paramount in all things, and a child has no need to be reminded of this self-evident aspect of living free.

It’s rather unusual to meet someone who, in a world beset by ambition and fear, opts to retain a naive sense of fun. Such people are often well liked since they have an atmosphere of purity, and reluctance to judge others. They are trusting and light-hearted, and can often impact upon others in playful ways.
The personal changes that may erupt in correspondence with the lunar eclipse may be difficult and exhausting for many, yet since the eclipse is opposite Uranus it may reveal new directions and opportunities that are opening up if we can retain our childlike innocence and purity.
