Unprovoked bear attack at New Moon

At approximately 7:50 this morning (17 June), the YCSO dispatch center received multiple 911 calls about a man who was being mauled by a bear in the Groom Creek Area. When YCSO deputies and Prescott PD arrived at the scene, which was in a heavily wooded remote area, they found Steven Jackson, 66 years old of Tucson dead of an apparent bear attack, and the bear dead nearby. Deputies called officials from Arizona Game and Fish to respond to the scene as well.   https://tinyurl.com/mts4ajnb

Astrologers look at the stars to see whether there are any omens that show how affairs on earth are likely to be affected, according to the essential principle: as above, so below. To this end astrologers pay attention to the monthly lunation cycles among other mundane phenomena. A chart for the 17 June New Moon drawn for Groom Creek holds the key to the tragic event reported in the news. The New Moon [26ge] is conjunct stars in the area of the sharp horn tips of the ill-tempered charging Bull. Among events linked to this area, Diana Rosenberg lists “animal attacks”.

But this New Moon is valid for the whole world. Why did this affect Groom Creek in particular? Regular readers will be aware that the horizon and meridian axes of a chart are fairly specific for a place. Here we find Pluto, the planet of death and destruction, rising on the Ascendant amid stars which once again Diana Rosenberg links to “animal attacks (especially bears and snakes)”.

And that is not all. The chart for the time of the bear attack 7:50 am, 17 June has Pluto on the descendant amid the same stars!

So why did this unprovoked attack happen? The quote from Carl Jung above gives the reason. Most of us suppress our natural urges especially when they violate social norms. Pluto in Capricorn urges us to bring more of our repressed Pluto potential into a concrete, workable form. It also brings emphasis to address patterns of avoidance or fears to relinquish diminishing modes of living, or fabricating reasons justifying disempowerment and inaction by blaming external conditions. It requires determination and conviction to willingly choose to live authentically and from true heart's passion. We then get to manifest some of what has been typically kept under wraps because of hidden fears, internal taboos, shame, intimidation or simply ignorance of our potential. Failure to respond can in some cases bring out the violent side of Pluto as in this news example.
