A New French Revolution?

The police killing of a 17-year-old during a traffic stop on Tuesday has unleashed three consecutive days of social unrest across France. Bloomberg reports more than 600 people were arrested Thursday night into Friday, with a majority of them between the ages of 14 and 18. https://tinyurl.com/bdcvvt47 

For those of us who study astrology there is danger of getting lost in details unless we have a model to deal with the jungle of information. 

In his second book, The Changing Sky, Steven Forrest presented a model for sorting through the many possible planetary configurations that present themselves in a transits and progressions reading. This system, termed "The Four Nets," is applied to the jungle of astrological symbolism, each net catching creatures in descending orders of size. In the First Net, we see all the astrological biggies—major transits and directions to and from the Sun, Moon and Ascendant for example. By the time we get to the Third or Fourth Nets, we are looking at events we might safely ignore —unless the earlier Nets have come up empty. This is a strategic, orderly, and effective method for organizing one’s approach to a transits/ progressions analysis. 

I like to draw an analogy with the hands of a clock. It is the hour hand that tells us what is going to happen. The minute and second hand assist in knowing when exactly it will happen. 

Of all directions those of the progressed Sun are among the most important and can be considered an “hour hand”.

 

Presented here is France’s chart for the First Republic[1]. The current progressed Sun [20ta49] is beginning a T-square to the Uranus [21le48] - Pluto [21aq35] aligned very significantly with the meridian. 

Without some rebellion every so often, politics will inevitably become sclerotic and cease to perform its intended function of serving the wants and needs of the entire society. A Uranus-Pluto alignment,when activated is the perfect time to stand up in protest against all forms of unjust violence that corrupt our civility and threaten even the future of civilization itself. 

To make that long uphill climb toward a better, more loving world, we need the emotion of anger. This is the time to move into the light whatever forms of cruelty and needless suffering have remained masked, falsely justified, or hidden in the shadows. 

Since the progressed Sun (hour hand) moves slowly with an orb of about 3 degrees, we need the minute and/or second hand to trigger an event. This was provided, in the last few days, by a sudden and violent trigger of transit Mars [21le] and Uranus [21ta] moving over the the elements of the T-square. And as if on cue, the Waxing Gibbous Moon [23sc] of June 30 brought the Grand Cross to the meridian at Paris.
