Modern astrology having lost its moorings to the constellations of fixed stars has difficulty in seeing events as manifestations of star lore. The news of the death by drowning of Obama’s chef comes just as the Moon reaches its First Quarter phase. A chart for the Moon phase at Edgardtown has it placed very significantly aligned with the meridian as part of a Grand Cross with Pluto and the Nodes.
Sun square the nodes is referred to as a “Moon Wobble” which causes freak accidents by bringing “suppressed energies in people and Mother Nature to the surface, erupting and disrupting”. With Pluto also square the nodes we have a Moon Wobble on steroids!
When lunar phases trigger such potent combinations tragic accidents are likely. But more surprising is the fact that for stars that form the backdrop to the Sun in sidereal Cancer, Diana Rosenberg has “choking, asphyxiation, drowning” [1] among notable events.
So the conclusion is that if we go on harping about the Sun being in tropical Leo, we can never understand the reason behind the drowning!

Of late the Sun-Pluto-Node Grand Cross has been operative in several events covered at this blogsite.
Here is the chart for the First Quarter Moon at St. Petersburg. As at Edgardtown, here too the Grand Cross is aligned with the meridian. What is not obvious in both these charts is that Pluto [29cp] is opposite the midpoint Ceres/Uranus [29cn]. The asteroid Ceres is related to food and by association to a cook.Pluto opposite Ceres/Uranus symbolically holds the potential for a serious upset in matters related food (cooks?). Pluto interacting with the Uranus element of the midpoint suggests the “collapse of an old order; the construction of the new” (Ebertin). So it is not surprising that we are seeing both the end of the Grain Deal as well as the death of a cook! The defunct Black Sea Grain Deal is to be replaced by a more humanitarian deal in which Russia will provide free grain and fertilizer to African countries to ensure food security. Will the Obamas be getting a new cook?!
