Niger refuses Western hegemony

The development of the situation surrounding the possible invasion of Niger by the troops of certain countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is remarkably reminiscent of the discussions that took place on the eve of this summer's Ukrainian "counter-offensive."

But there is a significant difference. In the case of Ukraine, we are dealing with a regime that is pursuing a murderous policy towards the territory under its control. African leaders, on the other hand, are not at all willing to take risks for the interests of France and the United States. Therefore, what was a tragedy in Ukraine may turn out to be a farce in West Africa, with the end result being an amicable agreement between all parties concerned. https://tinyurl.com/w65fancr

Presented here is the horoscope of Niger as provided by Astrotheme with AA rating from a timed official source. The most important current progression in this chart is:

Progressed solar arc Ascendant (converse) [4pi] opposite radix Pluto [5vi] triggered by transit Saturn [4pi]

Pluto [5vi] is conjunct the star Thuban of Draco the Dragon. The Dragon is about wanting to maintain totalitarian control of the Earth. Nick Fiorenza writes:

Thuban of Draco, in the far northern heavens, just north of Alioth of the Great Bear, was Earth’s pole star circa 2800 BCE, a point in Earth’s ~25,000-year “evolutionary cycle of the soul” at which time a turning and fractioning occurred in the hierarchical powers governing Earth. This dramatized the separation between those choosing to fight for a greater evolutionary vision and those wanting to maintain totalitarian control of the Earth.

Astrology associates Pluto with upheaval, violent purgatorial discharge of pent-up energies, purifying fire; situations of life-and-death extremes, power struggles, all that is titanic, potent, and massive that can lead to rebirth.

For most of us, the energy of Pluto lies dormant. In other words, defiance and rage have not been a part of our repertoire in dealing with power and authority, then Saturn transit allows us the transformative option of bringing more of our Pluto potential into a concrete, workable form. We get to manifest some of what has been typically kept under wraps because of hidden fears, internal taboos, shame, intimidation or ignorance of our potential.

When the progressed Ascendant reaches an opposition to Pluto, we are challenged to reveal who we really are and what we really want. Many old relationships that do not recognize our evolving needs have to come to an end. While we must recognize the virtue of working hard on relationships and sticking with them, we must also accept that sometimes alliances that have been meaningful and alive come to pieces where they are no longer consistent with who we are: a distinctly Plutonian truth.

This is essentially the reason why Niger is breaking away from France and the US.
