Eleven provinces in Thailand continue to grapple with severe flood crisis, with Kalasin and Ubon Ratchathani experiencing rising water levels, as of today. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has mobilised resources and personnel from various agencies to expedite flood relief operations. Heavy rainfall in the past has caused flooding across 35 provinces, affecting 52,290 households in 2,506 villages across 515 sub-districts and 138 districts.
The cardinal ingresses of the Sun are among the primary mundane maps used in Astro-Meteorology. Here is the chart for Sun’s entry into Libra drawn for Kalasin,Thailand. As always alignments with the angles are the ones to pay attention to. Straddling the meridian is the now familiar Pluto-Nodes T-square. For Pluto-Nodes, Ebertin has:
A common and tragic destiny of a large mass of people. (*)
On the descendant, are stars of the ancient Chinese asterism Pe-Ho, the Northern River and Nan-Ho, the Southern River. Also conjunct is a tiny star [21cn] just above Nan-Ho in Canis Minor that was part of the asterism Choui-Wei, the Situation of the Waters, which governed the overflowing of rivers. The Chinese astrologers said that if this asterism was clear and tranquil, it was a good omen, but if it faded or seemed to drift and combine with the Milky Way, the rivers of the empire would overflow and flood the land [1].
Next we look at the horoscope of Thailand (with only its relevant elements) and note that the upcoming solar eclipse [21li] and the recent trigger by transit Mars [21li] completes a T-square with the radix Uranus [22ar] - Pluto [21cn] that is conjunct the tiny star mentioned above that was part of the asterism Choui-Wei, the Situation of the Waters, which governed the overflowing of rivers.
Finally here is Thailand’s current lunar return chart (relocated to Kalasin). The Sun opposite Neptune [26pi] aligns very significantly with the meridian with Neptune in Pisces amid stars in the waters pouring from Aquarius Urn.
This area has an heavy emphasis upon constellations with watery imagery, the goat-fish (Capricorn), the whale (Cetus), the water-pourer (Aquarius), the fishes (Pisces), and the dolphin (Delphinus) all located nearby, obviously earmarking this region as one that related to the rainy season of the ancient year, by which many of its stars are associated with floods or troubles at sea. The Southern Fish is usually depicted on star maps at the feet of Aquarius, where it swallows up the water poured from his urn. https://www.skyscript.co.uk/pis_aus.html
(*) the same configuration affected Israel’s chart and led to a tragedy of a different kind.
