Alexei Navalny dies of disillusionment and despair

Despite news of Alexei Navalny's death in prison driving world headlines and eliciting comments from Western government leaders, he was still largely an unknown within Russian politics and society - a marginal opposition figure who polled at around 2%. Putin didn't fear him; it served Putin to have him seen in the West as his main opposition.

Navalny was serving 19 years in prison on multiple corruption convictions. He died apparently from a blood clot. The 47-year-old was a broken and forgotten figure facing a futile existence, having been used and abandoned by Western intelligence handlers as a cut-out dissident figure.

Navalny (b. 4 June 1976) had his progressed Sun [29cn] conjunct radix Saturn [29cn] square radix Orpheus [29ar] (death).

In the last few days transit Mars [29cp] and Pluto [0aq] triggered the long term progression by completing a T-square.

Often converse directions offer deeper insights into the cause of events. Navalny's current converse directions would be:

Saturn (converse) [13ge] conjunct radix Sun [13ge] opposite radix Neptune [12sa].

Here is an extract from a previous post on Saturn-Neptune:The unveiling of lies [1]:

In astrology, Saturn represents the physical realm, what is often called the “real world” — not theoretical, not philosophical, not poetic, and not intangible, but instead, the nuts-and-bolts construction of reality at its most dense level. Saturn is about limitations and the hard work of building something over time, through sustained efforts that accrue, step-by-step, or brick-by-brick. From Saturn’s specific point of view, Neptune is crazy — lost in dreams, seduced by unrealistic fantasies, and wishing to escape from life’s responsibilities. Saturn teaches us the importance of the passage of time, and about both the fulfillments possible in life and the harsh realities that life sometimes imposes.

Essentially, Saturn acting on Neptune is a reality check causing disillusionment and at times death as in this case.
