The European Commission has bent the knee to protesting farmers - and is dropping key passages in a proposal for a new 2040 goal aimed at cutting greenhouse gas pollution. According to the EU exeuctive's plan, "all sectors" need to now contribute to the effort - but the previously mandated 30% cut to agricultural production between by 2040 is gone. The revised draft has also excluded a mandate for citizens to make lifestyle changes - such as eating less meat, and a push to end fossil fuel subsidies, Politico reports.

Many news events can be simply explained by charts drawn for the monthly lunations. The chart for the Feb.9 New Moon at Brussels has it square Uranus - the planet we associate with rebellion and change. Notice that the New Moon is placed in the 4th house square Uranus in the 8th . The 4th house rules “farming, agriculture and any occupation that is concerned with tending the land” [1] while the 8th house is “anxiety about loss; financial obligations, debts, and taxes” [2] so that it quite appropriately depicts a rebellion (Uranus) by farmers ( New Moon in 4th house/also Uranus in Taurus) who are concerned about their survival.
A Mars-Pluto combination which symbolizes simmering anger is placed on the 4th cusp. Pluto recently moved into into Aquarius where it will stay until it enters Pisces on March 8, 2043. Pluto in Aquarius represents some of the most profound times in history when the center (be it personal, psychological, cultural, governmental, political, financial, or otherwise) is unable to hold. That is what happens by archetypal design when Pluto moves through Aquarius. The focus shifts from the center to the margins, of society and psyche as it did during and after the French Revolution.
