Neurons flush waste out of brain during sleep

Hekate - goddess of the night and sleep

Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have found that brain cell activity during sleep is responsible for propelling fluid into, through and out of the brain, cleaning it of debris. Feb. 28

Eclipses tend to bring about endings and new beginnings. They offer a time to resynchronize our selves with the changing cosmic currents supporting our evolutionary progression in consciousness. While the effect of eclipses are worldwide in general, they are more significant for places where they make aspects to the angles. The upcoming solar eclipse of April 8, is already making itself felt at St.Louis where it fell on the MC with Mercury [24ar]. On the descendant is Pluto[1aq] with the asteroid Psyche [7aq].

Martha Wescott gives the following keywords for Psyche and Pluto

Psyche

Psychological recovery; brain states.

Pluto

Elimination of the unnecessary; major change.

Pluto rules breakdown and decay, but also regeneration and the purifying fire of catharsis. The force behind it can be seen as a powerful cleansing impulse that changes profoundly wherever it goes. Because Pluto destroys and resurrects it is often symbolized by the Phoenix, a mythological bird that is reborn from its own ashes, refreshed and ready to start a new cycle.

And finally Mercury [24ar] - the planet that rules the mind (brain?) and the MC [24ar] make a trine aspect to the asteroid Hekate [24le], the goddess of the night!

So now begin to understand how the eclipse hints at these findings.

It is critical that the brain disposes of metabolic waste that can build up and contribute to neurodegenerative diseases..There lies a paradox in sleep. Its apparent tranquility juxtaposes with the brain's bustling activity. ...These neurons are miniature pumps. Synchronized neural activity powers fluid flow and removal of debris from the brain
