Uranus castrated by Cronos/ Saturn

At last month’s (19-22 Aug 2024) Democratic National Convention, men lined up to have themselves sterilized outside the conference center. You probably heard. So-called “reproductive rights” were one of the key issues of the Convention, which also had a giant inflatable IUD stationed close to the entrance, just in case attendees were in any doubt.

The phases of the Moon are among the most reliable indicators of events on earth. The Democratic National Convention began on Aug 19 - the very day of the Full Moon whose chart at Chicago has it placed very significantly forming a Grand Cross with the horizon. Uranus  on the descendant is in Taurus - the sign of the Bull associated with fertility.

Gaia created a great stone sickle and gathered together Cronus and his brothers to persuade them to castrate Uranus. Only Cronus was willing to do the deed, so Gaia gave him the sickle and placed him in ambush. When Uranus met with Gaia, Cronus attacked him with the sickle, castrating him and casting his testicles into the sea. From the blood that spilled out from Uranus and fell upon the earth, the Gigantes, Erinyes, and Meliae were produced. The testicles produced a white foam from which the goddess Aphrodite. emerged. 

The old myths have been eroded but the archetypes never go away, only take new forms as here the Democrats ( Saturn...ruling powers) asking young people to give up their creative individuality represented by Uranus - a threat to the dominant power.

Instead of denying our baser passions we can learn to transform them into a higher expression. For example, we may notice a similarity between the energy of a zealous devotee, who has found a way to transform their lust for dominance into an enthusiastic willingness to praise God, and that expressed by a person of sexual extravagance who troubled by his passions opts for sterilization. In this case the sexual energies have not been mastered simply driven inwards and may find more destructive outlets later.

When offering up the lesser (lesser modes of involvement or patterns of behavior), we are also faced with taking on a greater responsibility, moving from victim consciousness, where we feel powerless and merely acquiesce to the conditions of life in which we find ourselves--caught in the clutches of the Scorpion--to taking responsibility for our life scenarios and consciously choosing a life path that supports our experiential growth, our emotional and spiritual maturity, and our physical wellbeing and fulfillment. The Centaurian training is not merely an intellectual understanding of these principles but is wisdom gained through an experiential journey moment-by-moment that leads us to true inner transmutation at a neurological level. Such wisdom results in the inner realization that makes self-mastery of the primal forces of life actualized and right action crystal clear.

 

Imagination is the transition of consciousness that can endow anything with profound meaning. The ability we all have to turn a bunny into a fairy is a quality of the imagination. All things – the least of things around us – can thus be endowed with more profound meaning. This process has no limit, and a transition of consciousness is the inner requirement.
