Astrology of the Singapore deluge

To the magus, there exists no accidental happening…everything is established solidly by that law which the wise man discerns in happenings that appear accidental to the profane. The curve observed in the flight of birds, the barking of a dog, the shape of a cloud, are occult manifestations of that omnipresent, coordinator, the source of unity and harmony - Karl Seligmann

A massive afternoon deluge on Nov 22 triggered two flash floods and numerous flood risk warnings across the island in one of Singapore's heaviest downpours in 40 years. Record rainfall fell in the northern part of Singapore, with two flash floods in Yishun and Potong Pasir that eased within 10 minutes, said national water agency PUB. In a Facebook post, PUB said 127.7mm of rain was recorded between 2.15pm and 4.50pm in northern Singapore, which is more than half the average monthly rainfall in November.

In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun (entry into the four cardinal signs/ constellations, i.e. 00 deg of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn ) have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. So important are these ingresses that astrolgers often progress the angles to identify significant events.

The current Libra ingress of the Sun at Singapore progressed to November 22, the date of the reported event has the Sun [0li] opposite Neptune [27pi] aligned with the meridian conjunct stars in the constellation of the Southern Fish.

The Southern Fish is a separate constellation to Pisces, lying much further to the South, though in ancient legend it is often referred to as the parent of the zodiacal pair. [1] The area in which it lies has an heavy emphasis upon constellations with watery imagery, the goat-fish (Capricorn), the whale (Cetus), the water-pourer (Aquarius), the fishes (Pisces), and the dolphin (Delphinus) all located nearby, obviously earmarking this region as one that related to the rainy season of the ancient year, by which many of its stars are associated with floods or troubles at sea. The Southern Fish is usually depicted on star maps at the feet of Aquarius, where it swallows up the water poured from his urn. https://www.skyscript.co.uk/pis_aus.html

In her book Secrets of the Ancient Skies, Diana Rosenberg states that the stars 20,24,30 Piscium (26pi, 27pi, 28pi) should be in the water from Aquarius’ Urn and not in the belly and tail of the Southern Fish. In our example here we can see that the deluge in Singapore with Neptune [27pi] conjunct the MC [28pi] appears to bear this out!

And if were to draw the chart for 2:15 pm, Nov. 22 when the rain is reported to have started, we find Saturn [13pi] and Neptune [27pi] on the Ascendant confirming their role in the deluge.

If every event is a symbol of something larger, what might the sudden deluge mean?

In an earlier post, Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew dies at Solar Eclipse [1], I wrote:

With Saturn-Neptune it is necessary to make certain that responsibilities, hard work etc. are not violating our need for retreat, quiet and general relaxation. The corrosive power of oceanic Neptune can seep through walls of self-control and iron-wills that seek to keep the ocean of life out... life will not be cheated and Neptune dissolves the strongest resistance that Saturnian walls can offer....Perhaps Lee Kuan represented one of those old paradigms in which life is all about duties and responsibilities and an iron-will control. A more healthy balance between duties and the need for enjoyment is what is perhaps required now.
