Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895–1986) was a renowned philosopher and spiritual teacher, known for his teachings on psychological freedom and the nature of consciousness. David Bohm (1917–1992), a theoretical physicist, contributed significantly to quantum theory and philosophy of mind, exploring topics like consciousness and reality.
The historic meeting between Krishnamurti and Bohm, where Bohm was left in silence, took place in Ojai, USA, on either 8th April 1980 or 10th April 1980. These dates correspond to the third and fourth recordings of their series, "The Ending of Time," where a moment of silence was noted.
Astrologers believe that everything takes place under appropriate planetary combinations. Presented here is the chart of the Last Quarter Moon of 8th April 1980 at Ojai, California.
The Krishnamurti-Bohm dialogues in The Ending of Time explore human conflict, suggesting it stems from the self's time-bound (Saturn) nature and reliance on thought (Mercury). They discuss transcending (Neptune) thought to achieve insight, awakening (Neptune- no boundaries of mystical enlightenment), and a state beyond ego (Saturn) , potentially leading to compassion (Neptune) and intelligence.
Astrology offers a symbolic lens to understand planetary interactions, and the aspect between Saturn and Neptune is often seen as a fascinating blend of time and transcendence.
Notice the very significant alignment of a Mercury-Saturn-Neptune T-square with the meridian in the Last Quarter Moon chart. With both Saturn and Neptune both in aspect to Mercury, the planet linked to thought we can see how appropriately the combination symbolizes the very essence of the Bohm-Krishnamurti dialogs on "The Ending of Time" as also the moment of silence (both Saturn and Admetus acting on Mercury). For Martha Wescott, Admetus is freezing, blockage or stoppage.
In 1980, the Primary Direction (Van Dam) In Krishnamuti’s horoscope was directed Asc conjunct Mercury with the Sabian symbol
PHASE 59 (TAURUS 29): TWO COBBLERS WORKING AT A TABLE.
KEYNOTE: The two-fold character of man's mature understanding.
In symbolism the feet are the symbol of understanding. Understanding differs from mere knowledge because it implies at least some degree of identification in depth with what is being understood. Moreover it is impossible fully to understand anything except when its opposite is taken into consideration. The mental process of understanding — and therefore of appreciation — implies confrontation between two points of view.
(A dialogue between an eminent philosopher and a renowned scientist is perfectly described by this degree)
