Divya Deshmukh, born into a Marathi family in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, has emerged as a prominent figure in the chess world, notably becoming the first Indian woman to win the FIDE Women's World Cup on July 28, 2025 at Batumi, Georgia.

The March 14, 2025 lunar eclipse at Nagpur was prominently placed on the IC in Virgo (triggered by transit Mars in the last few days). Specifically it is conjunct the star omega Virginis, on top of the Virgin’s head. Virgo is associated with analytical skills, which are beneficial in chess, due to traits like detail-orientation and methodical thinking, strategic planning and problem-solving. Several chess Grandmasters, including Emil Sutovsky and Vasilios Kotronias, are born under Virgo (August 23 to September 22).

Rising on the Ascendant [4cn] is the star Tejat.

The foot of Castor is composed of Tejat, Eta Gemini; IC 444, a bright emission nebula, IC 443, a supernova remnant; and Dirah (Tejat Posterior) Mu Gemini. Tejat and IC 444 portend eminence and renown, and will make visible, even dramatize in a unique fashion, the choices we make and the actions we take. Tejat will make visible that which has been suppressed, oppressed, hidden in the closet, but that needs to be seen. This can indicate the need to emerge from our own mental obscurations and illusions that keep us from actions we need to take. As Tejat brings to visibility that which has been suppressed, we may draw experiences that reflect parts of our selves that seem rather dark and opposing to our unfoldment--the fears, hesitancies, and blockages within our selves that keep us from stepping forth into a greater harmony in life. Tejat asks that we be willing to walk through the shadows of self to claim our power and place . The more we express the truth of who we are openly in our relations and in the world the less is there room for forces that suppress that truth.

The eclipse Moon [23vi] is trine Uranus [24ta] trine the asteroid Urania [24cp]; sextile asteroid Minerva [23cn]

URANIA: Astrology; astronomy; handling theoretical, hypothetical or abstract principles and information; logic and rationality; ability to “see the big picture” and not be dissuaded by instant details; an intellectual framework; apperception-intellectual context. Bias and distortions to rationality and conceptual ability.

MINERVA: Broad perceptual skills; strategies to deal with situations and people; calculations

Put the pieces together, we are looking at mental ingenuity (Urania/Uranus/Minerva) of a girl (Moon).

Note:

The March 14 lunar eclipse was a South Node eclipse (patterns to get out of),the following blogs may help readers understand what is at stake:

The lunar eclipse was also on the IC at the Meenakshi temple. According to legend, she was trained by her father to be a warrior queen, but later renounced her patriarchal role to marry Siva.

Brilliant mathematician Mirzakhani dies (To serve as an example of betrayal of the soul to the “male” world - worship of reason ...not living out the heart), Mirzakhani’s radix Sun square asteroid Pallas (same as Minerva)

PALLAS, ATHENA: Approval-seeking; strategies of relating; perceptual skill; mathematics; logic; whether one is willing and/or able to do those things that will please another.

In Greek mythology, Athena was a warrior goddess believed to have been born from the head (referring to logic and reason) of her father Zeus.
