Out of the Shadows

The central theme of this post is about how the current lunar cycle is inspiring us to come out of the shadows. The current New Moon of 25 June conjunct [4cn] square Saturn-Neptune [1ar] is being activated by the retrograde stations of both Neptune (Jul 5) and Saturn (July 13).

Neptune in Aries is stimulating action sourced from inner dreams, encouraging bold movement that turns imaginal ideals into reality. Saturn’s influence in Aries asks us to channel impulsive desires into disciplined action. How can we forge new paths with purpose and determination?

It blends the fierce independence of Aries with Saturn’s measured responsibility. This isn’t about a fearful suppressing of boldness (Iran’s Asc is 2 Aries) —it’s about directing it. Aries thrives on initiating, but Saturn demands follow-through. This transit challenges us to commit to purposeful action that aligns with long-term goals. It’s a time to find strength in patience and maturity while embracing courage in the face of life’s challenges.Ideally, we’ll be able to take bold initiative in our lives while ensuring our choices are sustainable and well thought out. Courage doesn’t mean acting recklessly (Ukraine/Israel?) – it means stepping forward with conviction (Iran?) while respecting what it takes to create and sustain growth.

It’s a time to confront the fears that have hindered our progress, and to be resilient in the face of challenges. Harnessing Saturn in Aries’ energy can help lay the foundation for enduring success. But if we have been delusional(Ukraine/Israel?) then the accompanying Saturn in Aries will be a reality check and we may be staring at the failure of our plans.

Here is an extract from a previous post Understanding the meaning of Jupiter square Saturn[1[ where we said the same thing in different words.

If we have been doing our Jupiter in too naive a manner or have been too convinced of the complete rightness of our actions, Saturn will force us to revaluate our beliefs (Ukraine/Israel?). Maybe there is an unrecognized arrogance that needs to be exposed and eliminated. What if we have been undervaluing our abilities (Iran?) despite years of preparation (Saturn). Jupiter can then provide the leap of faith in our abilities to meet any challenge and come out successful. We have been too fearful and we now need to begin to take risks in a responsible manner.

To complete the picture, we notice the New Moon is conjunct the star Tejat about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

The foot of Castor is composed of Tejat, Eta Gemini; IC 444, a bright emission nebula, IC 443, a supernova remnant; and Dirah (Tejat Posterior) Mu Gemini. Feet in general correspond to the actions we take and the their long term effect in our lives. Tejat and IC 444 portend eminence and renown, and will make visible, even dramatize in a unique fashion, the choices we make and the actions we take. Tejat will make visible that which has been suppressed, oppressed, hidden in the closet, but that needs to be seen. This can indicate the need to emerge from our own mental obscurations and illusions that keep us from actions we need to take. As Tejat brings to visibility that which has been suppressed, we may draw experiences that reflect parts of our selves that seem rather dark and opposing to our unfoldment--the fears, hesitancies, and blockages within our selves that keep us from stepping forth into a greater harmony in life. Tejat asks that we be willing to walk through the shadows of self to claim our power and place [2]. The more we express the truth of who we are openly in our relations and in the world the less is there room for forces that suppress that truth.

Our Tejat New Moon indicates that it is time to come out of hiding, to stand forth in the limelight, to make self visible, available, and approachable; to communicate and demonstrate with actions that which we want to establish in our lives and in our relations.

Finally, the New Moon is square the Uranian midpoint Admetus/Pluto. Martha Wescott’s delineation explains what is at stake and what we need to do.

Admetus-Pluto:

To deal with rigidity in the psychological armor; situations that have been endured for a long time begin to surface – problems that have been on simmer break into a full rolling boil. Having delayed elimination of intolerable problems, one faces confrontation with self or others and experiences a need for return to integrity; to see that things reach critical mass - in other words, although one has been able to stand up under increasing pressure, the burden finally becomes too great and there must be some relief or release.
