August New Moon signals reset in India-China relations

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday that his country welcomes Prime Minister Modi to China for the SCO Tianjin Summit. China has confirmed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Chinese city of Tianjin later this month. Modi’s visit to Tianjin comes amid a “reset in progress in India-China relations,” Ambassador Rajiv Bhatia, distinguished fellow for Foreign Policy Studies, Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, told Sputnik.

Synastry in astrology is the practice of comparing two astrological birth charts to understand the dynamics and potential compatibility of a relationship. It involves analyzing how the planets and points in one person's chart interact with those in another person's chart, revealing areas of harmony, challenge, and overall relationship potential.

Currently perhaps the most significant synastry between China (1st Oct 1949) and India ( 15th  Aug 1947) is: China dir. Sun -----> India (Uranus-Bacchus-Psyche-Siwa)

Martha Wescott interprets as below:

Bacchus/Psyche/Siwa

The fact that people are carrying emotional pain and complexes will be obvious, and you may recognize that a person's pain can become a kind of addiction. A person can "use" the fact that they're "the walking wounded" and very vulnerable, easily hurt or "had a difficult past" (emotionally) to "swallow" and deny CURRENT feelings and hurts, to justify present reactions, or to control the ways that others interact with them.

I think you'll hear of psychological breakdown --some destructuring of a person's emotional walls and defenses. Because of emotional wounds or "psychic vulnerability" people tend to withdraw, keep to themselves or are only able to be with others for limited periods of time. When I talk about "emotional breakdown," I do want to say that I see this as a catharic thing. They "break DOWN" in order to "break THROUGH"--they get "destroyed" so that they can be liberated (from ego entrenchment, from rigid life demands, from too strongly conditioned expectations, and from accrued hurts.)

( The 1962 Indo-China war left a deep scar on India, fostering mistrust and humiliation due to India's military defeat. It strained diplomatic ties for decades, with India viewing China as an aggressor, while China maintained its actions were defensive).

Next we look at the second popular method:

The Davison Relationship Chart, developed by Ronald Davison, is a tool in relationship astrology that analyzes the dynamics between two individuals by averaging their birth data (date, time, and location) to create a composite chart. This chart, often called the "relationship chart," represents the unique energy and potential of the connection between the two people.

Here the most significant direction in the DRC is:

Solar arc directed Sun [1sa] ------ Laches [29le] - Saturn [29le]

Lachesis/Saturn

Expect also to be aware of situations that are already in progress when one person:(India?) decides to separate, feels alienated, or interprets the situation as a burden. As well, you're apt to be aware that a person can go along in their life for quite a time with a certain image of, legacy from or relationship with their father or authority figure) (US) .but then, something occurs to change it (and that something may change it from good to worse or from bad to wonderful--or it simply may mean that one has a more realistic appraisal.)

(Note: India’s sudden change of attitude towards China follows the Trump imposed tariffs)

Modi is scheduled to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), to be held  August 31 to September 1, 2025, in China under the influence of the August 23 New Moon. A chart for New Moon drawn for the midpoint of the capitals has it placed very significantly on the MC conjunct the star Regulus, alpha Leo.

On the personal level, Regulus is about our inner "vertical integrity," that is, living true to self, openly on the world stage. This means walking in confidence and with self-respect, aligned with the truth in our hearts, in thought, word, and deed. Our personal integrity, our inner vertical attunement, must precede any horizontal, humanitarian participation in the world (Leo's opposite Aquarian pole). Without this inner integrity we become self-sacrificing, entrapped in a sympathetic resonance of dance, giving self away at the cost of our hearts' truth. This perpetuates discord and dysfunction for self and for others because we are simply living a lie. Only by living from our personal integrity and true to heart do we provide opportunity for others to also stand in their integrity and live their truth. On the other side of coin, without the maturity of acknowledging the Aquarian polarity, we can become ego-driven, where it is all about “I” without caring or concern for others.

South of the Lion is the Sextant. The primary stars are Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Sextans. The sextant is a navigational instrument used to determine the vertical position (angular distance) of the sun, moon or stars from the horizon. The Sextant’s stars reveals our need to reassess our position or situation, to reorient ourselves, and to take a new tack toward our goals in life with conscious consideration for the changing evolutionary winds and currents upon which we must navigate.

In India’s chart the New Moon is square the the Ascendant [1ge] and transit Uranus is now moving over the Ascendant [1ge]. Martha Wescott interprets this as:

To have others be reckless or disruptive; to deal with others in ways that are contrary to expectation; to have events brought through friends (the US tariffs?)

Trump has claimed countries buying Russian oil are “fueling the war machine” . India hit back at what it called ridiculous hypocrisy, pointing out that the European Union purchased more Russian oil last year than India. The U.S. also buys billions of dollars-worth of Russian agricultural fertilizer, uranium, and other minerals.

Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, among many other nations, are showing a resilience and defiance to U.S. imperialist bullying that would have been thought unlikely only a few years ago.
