Jupiter entered Cancer on June 9 and it will remain there until it enters Leo on June 29, 2026. Traditionally, Jupiter brings luck. However one secret with “luck” lies in actually knowing what is good for you a kind of “wise wanting” that is the heart of the matter, at least for the time being. Cancer represents the drive to nurture. But it’s about nurturing yourself as much as it is about nurturing other people.
Currently Jupiter [12cn] has been moving square to a newly discovered centaur Rhiphonos [12li].
About Rhiphonos, Benjamin Adamah writes:
Rhiphonos learns to rediscover his own passions and points out that ambitions, aspirations and passion must be synchronised if our course is to be the right one and the path of our heart. In the Rhiphonos process there is at first a notion of being stuck or an impasse, then an awareness of a farce, dead end or dormant state or wrong turn that was taken earlier in life, followed by a decision to take the leap to another course, another attitude, by means of which a different actuality, life situation and future is created.
Rhiphonos either brings a refreshing liberating energy for those who believe in the old credo “God helps the brave” or a shameful and weak moment for those who are afraid and let a good opportunity to change their life for the better pass - often with severe consequences in later life like a smoldering feeling of shame over one’s own cowardice that permanently poisons one’s own remaining life or that of others and perhaps even worse: missing the goal and essence of one’s current incarnation.
So perhaps the Jupiter in Cancer square Rhiphonos in Libra is about that good luck can come out of recognizing that one has reached a dead end because a wrong turn was taken earlier in life. However an opportunity now exists to take a leap to another course which would be more fulfilling.
This oppotunity to renew ourselves by making wiser choices is also the theme of the total lunar eclipse of September 7, 2025, in Pisces which will be conjunct the stars Achernar - where the River Eridaus meets the sea (endings) and Ankaa of the Phoenix which rises from its ashes (new beginnings).
This Lunar Eclipse sits in Pisces, the sign of longing for the past, of tuning into our intuition, and listening to what our soul really wants. Conjunct the North Node point of destiny, it’s trying to lead us where we need to go next and ushering in the future....A major part of this eclipse is noticing what we don’t have – and long for. When we truly touch into the core of who we are, we’ll find out what we truly desire. What we need is what we secretly long for when the conditioning of what we “should have” strips away. https://tinyurl.com/mr49eumr
