Napoleon-linked jewelry robbed

Napolean's Plunder of Egypt

The Louvre Museum in Paris has been closed for the day after a robbery on Sunday, local officials have said. Unconfirmed media reports claimed that several criminals stole nine pieces from the Napoleonic jewelry collection. The incident was reported by French Culture Minister Rachida Dati, who said on X that “a robbery took place this morning at the opening of the Louvre Museum.”

The French Culture Minister Rachida Dati made the announcement about the theft on October 19, 2025, at 08:34:09 UTC. A chart for this moment has [19sc54] rising on the Ascendant along with Mercury [17sc58] - Mars [18sc32] - a combination that astrologers link to thieves and robbers and by association to burglary

Mars in Scorpio is intense, driven, and associated with assertive or aggressive actions, including those done in secret or with strategic precision. In mundane astrology, Mars can also represent conflict, violence, or criminal acts, including robbery or burglary.

Mars-Mercury conjunctions are often linked to quick, decisive actions, and in Scorpio, this could manifest as calculated or bold criminal activity.

In traditional and mundane astrology, theft is often tassociated with Mercury (cunning, dexterity, quick getaways) and Mars (aggression, force, or taking by strength). The Scorpio stellium (Ascendant, Mercury, Mars) in this chart strongly suggests a secretive, intense, and possibly well-planned act, fitting the profile of a museum heist.

The Mercury-Mars-Ascendant trine to the TNPs Hades-Kronos links the theft to “famous historical figures” (Martha Wescott). Moreover both the TNPs are conjunct Sirius.

Sirius, the brightest star in Canis Major, is at 14°26' Cancer, close to Hades (15°43') and Kronos (16°57'). As noted by astrologer Diana Rosenberg, the ancient Chinese associated Sirius with “thieves and bandits,” calling it the “Wolf Star.” So an intriguing question that crosses our minds is are we looking at  a famous historical “thief, bandit”, in some ways?

It is well known that Napoleon Bonaparte, as a conqueror, amassed vast personal wealth and artifacts through his military campaigns across Europe and Egypt. Many of these treasures, including artworks and cultural relics, were taken from conquered territories and brought to France, some of which ended up in the Louvre.

Napoleon I (born August 15, 1769, 11:00 AM LMT, Ajaccio, Corsica), has his natal Ascendant in Scorpio, matching Scorpio rising in the robbery announcement chart’s Ascendant.

The shared Scorpio Ascendant creates a symbolic link between Napoleon and the event. Scorpio is associated with power, control, secrecy, and transformation, all of which are hallmarks of Napoleon’s life and legacy. The robbery of his jewelry collection at the Louvre—a museum housing artifacts tied to his imperial legacy—feels almost fated under this alignment.

The theft of Napoleonic jewels under a Scorpio Ascendant could symbolize a violation of Napoleon’s legacy, as Scorpio governs themes of power and its loss. The Ascendant’s alignment with Napoleon’s natal chart suggests a karmic echo, as if his historical presence is being “revisited” through this event.

Readers would be aware of the “diurnal chart” which is a chart drawn for any date of interest but for the time of the radix. Liz Greene gives the data for the mundane horoscope of France [Oct 6, 1958; 18:30 CET, Paris]. For the date of the theft, France’s diurnal chart (October 19, 2025, at 18:30 CET in Paris), with its Taurus Ascendant (15°23') opposite Mercury (18°27' Scorpio) and Mars (18°47' Scorpio), trine Hades-Kronos (conjunct Sirius - “Wolf Star”of thievery) powerfully reflects the Louvre robbery and France’s broader loss of African influence as a karmic echo of historical “thefts.” The Taurus-Scorpio axis highlights the loss of national treasures (jewels, colonies), while the Hades-Kronos emphasis ties to Napoleon’s legacy and France’s colonial past.

Strangely return charts of long deceased persons still carry interesting information. Napolean’s current lunar return October 29, 2025; 9:14 CET (precession corrected) and relocated to Paris has Ascendant [23sc] conjunct Mercury [29sc52] - Mars [25sc34]...almost singling him out for the robbery! Perhaps Napoleon's legacy of conquest and plunder is mirrored in today's "karmic" thefts like the Louvre's Napoleonic jewels. The stars (and history) align in intriguing ways, suggesting cycles of acquisition and loss.

I leave readers with a quote from Dennis Elwell which captures the essence of astrology as a tool for uncovering patterns and meaning in the chaos of events, much like the connections explored between the Louvre robbery, Napoleon’s legacy, France’s colonial losses, and the cosmic signatures in the charts. Elwell’s metaphor of the “cosmic loom” beautifully reflects the intricate interplay of history, karma, and celestial influences discussed in this post.

“Understanding the world around us depends on our power to perceive patterns of meaning, to make the right connections, recognize what belongs with what. It is not easy. Unaided, it is as if we are looking at the weaving from the wrong side, and it seems a mess, but with the help of astrology we can see the design as it is meant to be. As the shuttle of the cosmic loom ceaselessly weaves its intricate design, astrologers have the responsibility, or rather the awesome privilege, to work towards restoring to humanity the sense of high meaning it has all but lost.” Dennis Elwell
