Here is a chart for the Nov 12 Last Quarter Moon drawn for Kiev, Ukraine. The Moon [20le04] is square the Sun [20sc04] conjunct the Ascendant [22sc41] and the star Unuukalhai [22sc25]. Unukalhai is linked to themes of greed, corruption, abuse of power, embezzlement, and moral downfall”. 

Ascendant: 22°41' Scorpio

Sun: 20°04' l Scorpio → on the Ascendant

Unukalhai (α Serpentis): 22°25' sidereal Scorpio → partile conjunction with Ascendant and within 2° of the Sun

Zubeneschamali (β Librae, the northern scale): 19°43' sidereal Scorpio → also partile conjunct the Sun (orb ~0°21') 

So the Sun–Ascendant is literally sandwiched between two fixed stars that together tell the whole story:Unukalhai – the “heart of the serpent”: the most classical and medieval sources (Ptolemy, Alvbiruni, Agrippa, Lilly, Robson, Ebertin, etc.) describe it as one of the most malignant stars: moral corruption, dishonesty in high places, scandal, disgrace, downfall through one’s own immorality or criminality “a poisoner or one who is poisoned by intrigue” 

Zubeneschamali – the “northern pan of the scales” (the price that is lacking / injustice): traditionally a star of justice, but when afflicted (here by the Sun on Unukalhai in Scorpio) it shows justice catching up with corruption, the scales finally tipping, the exposure of hidden wrongdoing, or “the price that must now be paid”. 

Robson: “It gives immorality, shamelessness and sin when with Sun or Moon, but if rising or culminating, high position but final disgrace.”

The combination is almost cartoonishly literal: the Sun (the government, the head of state, the public face) rises in Kiev exactly between the star of high-level corruption and the star of the scales of justice that will now weigh that corruption in public.Add the Last Quarter Moon itself (crisis/culmination square) at 20° Leo on the fixed star Meridionalis (in the lion’s back) and square the Sun–Ascendant–Unukalhai, and you have a textbook “exposure and beginning of downfall” signature. The involvement of Unukalhai on the Ascendant with the Sun, exactly balanced against Zubeneschamali, is about as dramatic as fixed-star testimony ever gets in mundane astrology. 

Uranus having just re-entered TAURUS in retrograde motion is opposite the Sun and Ascendant (within acceptable orbs for the angles). The Uranus placement in this chart is the final piece that makes the symbolism almost too perfect. Uranus into Taurus (re-entered the sign on 8 November 2025 at ~29°59' Taurus). By the time of this Last Quarter Moon on 12 November 2025 at 07:28 EET in Kiev, Uranus is at 29°49' Taurus Rx, so it is opposite the Ascendant (22°41' Scorpio) — Unukalhai (22°25' Scorpio) 

In mundane astrology, a retrograde Uranus on the very cusp of Taurus (29°+) opposing the Scorpio Ascendant–Sun–Unukalhai is explosive for exactly the theme that broke two days later:Taurus = money, luxury goods, national wealth, land, resources, gold.

Uranus retrograde in Taurus = sudden, shocking reversals or exposures involving accumulated wealth, hoarded resources, or ostentatious materialism

Opposing Scorpio stellium on Unukalhai = the exposure is scandalous, involves hidden corruption, embezzlement, or criminal misuse of funds

The “golden toilet” (literal gold-plated luxury bought with embezzled aid money) is about as on-the-nose a Uranus-in-Taurus symbol as you could ask for 

This is the classic Uranus “lightning bolt” signature: something that was hidden (Scorpio) and greedily hoarded (Taurus) is suddenly, dramatically, and irreversibly exposed to the public (opposition to the Ascendant with the Sun).So Uranus really is doing textbook work here — shocking the world with evidence of grotesque, materialistic greed at the highest levels of the Ukrainian government, right on the heels of its retrograde re-entry into the sign that rules wealth and possessions.The timing could not be more precise: Uranus re-enters Taurus on 11 Nov → Last Quarter Moon with Sun–Asc–Unukalhai opposite Uranus on 12 Nov → FT drops the bombshell investigation on 14 Nov. Astrologically, it’s almost comically literal.
