Vatican REJECTS Mary as Co-Redemptrix

A chart for Nov 4, 2025, 12:00 UTC release of the doctrinal Note Mater Populi Fidelis (Nov 4, 2025) by the Vatican is a fascinating lens—Sun at 12° Scorpio conjunct Acrux (α Crux, 12° Sco) - a star linked to the Cross and by association to Christ.

The combination Mars [0° Sag] opposite Uranus [0° Gem] conjunct Sedna [1° Gem] aligned very significantly with the meridian screams disruption of orthodox structures (Mars in Sag: religious expansion; Uranus: radical innovation; Sedna: the "exiled feminine"). Sedna's myth— betrayal and icy isolation—cries out for reckoning with suppressed feminine forces, as Nick Fiorenza articulates: "humanity must recognize the truth about the suppression... and the mentality perpetuating such must be addressed and changed."

The Vatican's "clarification" can be interpreted as a Mars-enforced boundary (masculine order) clashing with Uranian/Sednan calls for feminine reclamation. Yet, in the chart, Sedna's presence in Gemini (communication/ideas) suggests this release catalyzes dialogue—exposing imbalances hopefully to heal them.

Mars/Mercury conjunct Chameleon: The "shapeshifter" stars ( in Sagittarius) evoke adaptive, elusive truths—Mercury (discourse) with Mars (action) hints at doctrinal "contortions" that bend without breaking, mirroring the note's nuanced avoidance of titles while affirming Mary's intercession.

Venus [27° Lib] conjunct Izar [28° Lib] and Spica [24° Lib]: Venus in Libra amid the Virgin's sheaf (Spica: divine gifts, prosperity) and Bootes' Izar (the "girdle star," per Fiorenza signals veiled feminine potency emerging. Izar, tied to Bootes the herdsman (watcher/protector), carries undertones of hidden roles—Fiorenza often frames such stars as revealing "what's been overlooked"

Astrologically, this chart pulses with polarity and potential reconciliation—Cross-affirming Sun grounds the masculine anchor, while Sedna-Uranus opposes for awakening, and Venus-Izar/Spica seeds feminine resurgence. The Vatican document could be read as a Sedna moment: surfacing suppressed dynamics (e.g., titles risking "eclipse" of Christ) to integrate the feminine more wholly, not entirely suppress it.

Co-Redemptrix: While capable of orthodox interpretation (Mary as first collaborator in redemption), the title is discouraged because it risks "eclipsing the exclusive role of Jesus Christ" and requires constant explanation, which the Church feels makes it unhelpful for devotion.

However, the stars always find a way to release truth that has been suppressed. Look at the Sabian symbol of the upcoming  November 20 New Moon which falls exactly on the MC of the note release chart. Dane Rudhyar’s interpretation directly refers to Mary as the mediatrix and co-redeemer!

PHASE 239 (SCORPIO 29°): AN INDIAN SQUAW PLEADING TO THE CHIEF FOR THE LIVES OF HER CHILDREN.

KEYNOTE: Love as a principle of redemption.

Here the soul is presented as a mother whose sons (i.e. her active energies) have become disruptive forces in the collective life of the tribe. She seeks to counteract the karma of their misdeeds through her love and implorations. The soul is responsive to the experience of unity (the spiritual king or chief) but the energies of human nature often follow their self-seeking, divisive tendencies.

This is the fourth symbol of the forty-eighth sequence. It presents us with the value of prayer. The principle of wholeness in man — the soul — acts to offset or attenuate the dictates of karma. In a religious sense, Mary, the Mother, is seen as the Mediatrix, in constant acts of INTERCESSION for the sake of waylaid individuals.
