Decline Of The Royal Navy

Argo Navis - the Celestial Ship

The head of the Royal Navy has just sounded the alarm—and it is not routine defence speak. General Sir Gwyn Jenkins has warned that Britain is on the verge of losing the strategic dominance we’ve held in the Atlantic since 1945. https://x.com/JimFergusonUK/status/1998749338961326088

The First Sea Lord, General Sir Gwyn Jenkins, delivered his warning speech at the International Sea Power Conference in London on December 8, 2025. just a day before a Mars-Saturn square aspect.

On the MC (public image) of the UK chart is placed the star Canopus of the Celestial Ship, Argo Navis defining its role as a major naval power. From about 2019, the TNPs Kronos-Hades have been conjunct on the MC.

In Uranian astrology, the Transneptunian points (TNPs) Kronos and Hades are slow-moving hypothetical energies that reveal deeper, collective undercurrents. Since 2019, the two TNPs have been making a gradual approach to the UK's MC degree.

Kronos: Symbolizes authority, government, heights of power, and independence—think "kingly" or executive stature.

Hades: Represents decay, the past, hidden filth, mistakes, shame, and transformation through crisis—often tied to criminality, misfortune, or the "scum" of unresolved issues.

Their conjunction (within a tight orb since ~2019, closing to under 2° by 2027) on the MC signifies a "decline of a great power," —corrupt or faltering leadership, loss of integrity, and restrictions imposed by past errors.

However, the First Sea Lord, General Sir Gwyn Jenkins’ wake-up call was triggered by a more immediate transiting Mars-Saturn square. The chart for December 9, 2025, of the exact Mars-Saturn square, is presented here, . This aspect—Mars at 25°15' Sagittarius squaring Saturn at 25°15' Pisces—marks a pivotal tension point, especially as Neptune (29°22' Pisces, retrograde) hovers tightly conjunct Saturn (within 4° orb), amplifying the configuration on the angles.

Mars rules military action, aggression, and naval forces (as the "lesser malefic" tied to iron, ships, and conflict). In fiery Sagittarius, it pushes for bold, ideological expansion—but squared by Saturn, its drive is frustrated, blocked, or forced into contraction.

Neptune (modern ruler of the seas, dissolution, and illusion) conjunct Saturn in Pisces (its home sign, emphasizing oceanic/mystical themes) evokes fog-shrouded threats: submarine stealth, undersea sabotage, or deceptive "ghost fleets" like Russia's shadow operations. Neptune's nebulous energy here signals vulnerability—leaky defenses, eroded illusions of invincibility, or even scandals around naval readiness (e.g., crew shortages as "dissolved" manpower).

Saturn as the great reality-checker imposes limitations, decay, and karmic debts. In Pisces, it governs institutions tied to the sea (navies, fisheries, undersea infrastructure), but retrograde and squared by Mars, it manifests as structural breakdowns: aging hulls, budget austerity, or the "harbor-bound" fleet Jenkins decried. The square (90°) between Mars (action) and Saturn (restriction) is a classic "frustration aspect," often correlating with military setbacks, enforced retreats, or warnings of impending loss if unheeded.
