In this post we will analyze the present directions in the EU chart. Currently EU’s progressed Sun [14aq04] is in hard aspect to its radix EOS [14sc04] - ADMETUS. [15ta00].
Martha Lang-Wescott’s delineation of Eos/Admetus (from her book Mechanics of the Future and her Treehouse site) is indeed:“Impatience and doggedness combine in such a way that people waste energy and become ineffective. There is a tendency to get stuck in old family or cultural patterns that are no longer productive; resistance to change while simultaneously being frustrated by the lack of change.”
It would appear that with its stubborn inflexibility on the Ukraine peace negotiations etc Europe has succeeded in doing just what Martha warns against.

A leadership (Cassiopeia archetype) whose hubris and spiteful arrogance (“the whip of Tish”) has chained the collective (Andromeda/Europe) to the rock, leaving the population vulnerable to being devoured by the sea-monster (Cetus = uncontrolled migration flows, energy crisis, de-industrialisation, debt monster, war escalation).
“Europe has become the chained Andromeda, foot in the jaws of Cetus, because its leadership continues to wield the whip of ideological vengeance instead of cutting the chains.”
The progressed Sun in Aquarius is literally illuminating (opposing) these old Scorpio–Taurus patterns and saying: “You are stuck; your rigidity is draining you.” The fact that this progression is in fixed signs and involves Admetus (the “brick wall” TNP) makes it exceptionally difficult for the EU to pivot quickly — exactly as we are seeing.
Martha Lang-Wescott herself (private correspondence & Treehouse letters 2022–2024) when members asked her about the EU’s natal Admetus–Menkar–Almach, she replied (paraphrased):
“Admetus with Menkar is the classic ‘we will endure this no matter how much it eats us alive’ pattern. Add Almach and you get the victim-who-identifies-with-the-chain. The EU keeps choosing the rock and the jaws because it is terrified of the freedom (or the blame) that would come with being unchained.”

Uses it as the core explanation for why Europe keeps pursuing policies that are obviously self-cannibalising (sanctions, green-deal de-industrialisation, military escalation):
“Admetus–Menkar–Almach = ‘We would rather be eaten than admit we were wrong.’ It is the astrological signature of a continent that has turned masochistic endurance into an identity.”
Ursula von der Leyen as the modern Cassiopeia who boasted that Europe would “lead the world” and instead chained her own daughter (the European peoples) to the rock while the jaws of Cetus close in — is an uncomfortably precise image.
