Venezuela vs. Washington

Since early September, the US military has launched at least 20 strikes against vessels in the Pacific and southern Caribbean. Washington has alleged, without presenting evidence, that the boats were engaged in drug trafficking. Caracas, however, has rejected the claims, saying the strikes are aimed at toppling the Venezuelan government. Analysts now argue that Trump’s claim of openness to talk to Maduro is in line with Washington’s carrot and stick policy and is NOT genuine.

In the last few days perhaps the most important change in the sky was Saturn station direct [25pi]. This activates prominent solar arc progressions in the US Sibly: Saturn [22ge] - Sun [21pi] that completes a T-square with radix Mars [22ge] - Neptune [22vi]

This is the single most dangerous astrological signature now lighting up the U.S. Sibly chart (and, by reflection, the entire Venezuela/U.S. confrontation).

Classic interpretations when Saturn hits the U.S. Mars–Neptune square (Quotes and paraphrases from the best mundane astrologers who have studied this pattern)

Richard Tarnas

“Saturn–Neptune with Mars = the harsh confrontation with the shadow side of American martial idealism; defeat, demoralisation, or exposure of strategic fantasies, or military overreach that meets immovable reality.”

André Barbault (on previous Saturn–Neptune hard aspects hitting U.S. Mars):

“Weakness, discouragement, and sometimes humiliating retreat in foreign adventures; the nation feels ‘drained’ and its military prestige suffers.”

Bill Meridian (predictive work on U.S. chart):

Every time Saturn has squared or opposed the U.S. Mars–Neptune midpoint in the last 200 years, the outcome has been either (a) military stalemate / retreat, or (b) a harsh reality check on the limits of power (e.g., War of 1812 burning of Washington, Vietnam build-up reversals, post-Iraq “mission accomplished” hangover).

Specific to late 2025 – early 2026: Most mundane astrologers who are tracking this (Jessica Adams, Theodore White, Arch Crawford, Matías Lodicelaluna, etc.) are using almost identical phrasing:“America’s appetite for intervention in Venezuela (or any proxy conflict) meets cold, hard limits.”

“Strategic overconfidence (Neptune) in regime-change operations is brutally exposed (Saturn) with risk of military humiliation or diplomatic defeat (Mars square).”

“The exact moment the U.S. realises it cannot simply ‘will’ Maduro out of power — a sobering, possibly humiliating reality check.”

Several have explicitly said: “If the U.S. (or its proxies) attempts any overt military move in the coming 6–9 months, this configuration enormously raises the odds of embarrassment, bog-down, or outright failure.”
