US captures Maduro

 To understand the astrology behind the news, I present two mundane charts: 

(a) the US Sibly solar return progressed to Jan 3, 2026 - the date of the US action against Venezeula.

 

(b) Donald Trump’s precession corrected solar return progressed to Jan 3, 2026. Once again we see the same combination Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune aligned with the horizon axis.

 

In both cases notice the sharp Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square occupying angles. The astrological synchronicity in these progressed solar return charts (for the US Sibly chart progressed to January 3, 2026, and Donald Trump's precession-corrected secondary progressed solar return for the same date) is striking and, in mundane astrology, would be seen as a textbook example of collective and personal mirroring during a major geopolitical event.On January 3, 2026, the United States launched Operation Absolute Resolve—a large-scale military strike on Venezuela, including airstrikes on Caracas and other sites, culminating in the capture and extraction of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. Trump announced that the US would temporarily "run" the country until a "safe, proper, and judicious transition," with plans to involve American oil companies in rebuilding Venezuela's infrastructure and tapping its reserves. The operation was justified primarily as action against alleged narcoterrorism (the Cartel of the Suns), drug trafficking, and destabilizing activities, following months of escalating pressure including strikes on drug boats, tanker seizures, and a naval buildup in the Caribbean. International reaction was swift and largely condemnatory: leaders from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Cuba, Russia, China, and others denounced it as a violation of sovereignty and international law, with the UN Secretary-General expressing deep alarm over the precedent set. Some (e.g., certain European voices) acknowledged Maduro's regime abuses but criticized unilateral force. The event echoed historical US interventions (e.g., Panama 1989) but on a larger scale, raising fears of regional instability, refugee flows, and escalation. 

The Astrological Resonance: Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-Square on the Horizon Axis. Both charts show this tight T-square (Jupiter opposing Saturn-Neptune, with Neptune bringing illusion, deception, dissolution, or hidden motives) aligned across the MC-IC or Asc-Desc axis. Jupiter (expansion, overreach, ideology, international affairs, "big promises") in early Cancer (nurturing homeland/security themes, but potentially smothering or excessive protectionism) squares Saturn-Neptune in early Aries (structure meets dissolution; authority enforcing blurred boundaries, ideals clashing with reality, or "saving" via forceful means that dissolve illusions).

Neptune adds layers of secrecy, deception, or idealism masking ulterior motives (drugs as pretext, oil/resources as hidden driver, or the "fog" of war/propaganda). It can manifest as actions taken under the guise of moral high ground (anti-drug crusade) but leading to chaotic outcomes, eroded trust, or karmic backlash. 

The square creates friction and crisis—overambitious assertion (Jupiter) meets restrictive reality checks (Saturn) and disillusionment/dissolution (Neptune). In mundane terms, this often correlates with overextension in foreign policy leading to entanglement, failure to achieve clean goals, or public/international disillusionment. 

 

PS: 

“Overextension (Jupiter) followed by failure (Saturn)” can be seen in another real world example. The current Israel’s [ b. 16 May 1948; 16:00 EET, Tel Aviv] solar return chart had Jupiter [24ge] conjunct the Ascendant [28ge] with both square the nodal axis-Saturn-Neptune. Around June 12, when Israel suddenly attacked Iran transit Sun was beginning a conjunction to Jupiter triggering the T-square. The 12 day war proved devastating for Israel.

In the Venezeula case, Jupiter drives the "decisive action" narrative (regime change for security/drugs), but Saturn-Neptune enforces limits, dissolution of illusions, and potential failure (e.g., no quick/stable transition, backlash, prolonged involvement, or oil ambitions backfiring amid chaos).
