On why the US finds itself trapped in Israel’s war

Attached is a screenshot from Solar Fire that shows progressed synastry (Israel’s progression of Sun and Moon to US Sibly elements). Martha Wescott emphasizes the importance of not obsessing about exact dates but to focus on the process unfolding within a 10 degree orb. Her delineation for some combinations are as below

Israel’s Moon ---> Sibly asteroids

Juno/Siva

Any number of scenarios will amply illustrate that people can take their rage out on their partners, and that folks can go into a rage because something or someone wasn't fair...or in the name of "getting satsifaction for past injustices." ... some people have to have their relationships REALLY "crash and burn" (to a crisp, I might add) in order for them to cease and desist following a destructive, conditioned path (about what a relationship means and how it should go.) You may see some situations too that we might describe as "a person watching their partner destroy him or herself"

Psyche/Siva

II think you'll hear of psychological breakdown --some destructuring of a person's emotional walls and defenses. When I talk about "emotional breakdown," I do want to say that I see this as a catharic thing. They "break DOWN" in order to "break THROUGH"--they get "destroyed" so that they can be liberated (from ego entrenchment, from rigid life demands, from too strongly conditioned expectations, and from accrued hurts.)

Israel’s Sun ---> Sibly asteroids

Arachne/Hybris

Some events (and some people) are made more difficult because one is EXPECTED TO GET INVOLVED (and/but there may be inherent limitations because things/people are soooo complicated.) At times, a person may show you that they feel that they're not up to dealing with a project that requires a lot of detail-- or their version of past experience tells them that they'll feel trapped (...and they may not see the trap their expectations create!)

These progressed synastry contacts line up with the tone and process of the current Israel–US dynamic amid the Iran war (and the fragile ceasefire that just kicked in on April 7–8). Martha Wescott’s style of asteroid delineation is process-oriented rather than event-specific, and the themes she gives for these exact combinations map strikingly well onto what we’ve seen since late February 2026.

Israel’s progressed Moon → Sibly Juno/Siva & Psyche/Siva. These are the “emotional temperature” contacts in the partnership. Wescott’s keywords for Juno/Siva (rage taken out on partners, crash-and-burn relationships in the name of past injustices, watching a partner destroy himself) and Psyche/Siva (cathartic psychological/emotional breakdown that tears down walls so something can break through) describe the feel of the alliance right now.The joint US–Israel campaign was an intense, high-stakes partnership that involved massive destruction on both sides (Iranian infrastructure, leadership decapitation, Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, retaliatory strikes, civilian tolls).

There has been visible strain and finger-pointing: Israel insisting its Lebanon operations are separate from the Iran ceasefire, while Iran, Hezbollah, and parts of the US diplomatic side see it as a violation that risks blowing up the truce.

The “rage because something wasn’t fair / satisfaction for past injustices” layer fits the long-running proxy war history (Hezbollah, nuclear program, October 7 fallout, etc.). Both sides have publicly voiced frustration with the other’s pace or priorities while still needing each other.

The “watching your partner destroy himself” motif shows up in the differing endgames: Israel pushing hard for regime-change pressure and continued Lebanon ops; the US (under Trump) more oriented toward a deal/coercion model. Each side has at times looked at the other’s moves and winced.

The Psyche/Siva catharsis angle is the flip side — the war has forced a brutal “tear-down” of old assumptions (Iran’s air defenses, proxy networks, regional deterrence). Whether that leads to genuine breakthrough or just more entrenched trauma is the open question, but the emotional destructuring is undeniable.

The April 2 Full Moon at 12 Libra (within orb of activating these progressed Moon directions, landed right in the thick of the air/ground campaign and just before the ceasefire announcement. Full Moons in this context often illuminate the emotional public face of a relationship — exactly when the partnership’s raw feelings (rage, exhaustion, catharsis) became most visible.Israel’s progressed Sun → Sibly Arachne/Hybris. This is the “identity/ego” contact. Wescott’s take — being expected to get involved in something incredibly complicated, with built-in limitations and the risk of feeling trapped by one’s own (or the partner’s) expectations — reads like a direct description of the US–Israel entanglement in this war.

Both countries were pulled in deeper than a simple “strike and done” scenario allowed. Israel’s long-term existential focus on Iran collided with the US desire for a negotiable outcome.

The “Arachne” web imagery fits the tangled proxy networks, while “Hybris” captures the over-reach/under-estimation risk on both sides (hubris in assuming quick victory or regime collapse, or in assuming the other partner would fully align on goals). Feeling “not up to dealing with a project that requires a lot of detail” or “trapped by expectations” mirrors the diplomatic friction we’re seeing now — the ceasefire is holding on paper, but the fine print (Lebanon, disarmament talks, reparations, oil flows) is already creating new traps and complications.

Because these are progressed contacts (slow-moving, long-lasting orbs), the whole 2026–2027 window is the “process” period Wescott always stresses. The April 2 Full Moon just lit up the current chapter, but the underlying themes were already cooking and will continue to unfold.

Bottom line: The delineations don’t predict a specific “war started on X date” moment; they describe the emotional and relational texture of the Israel–US partnership while the war is happening. And that texture — rage-fueled partnership that risks burning itself out, cathartic breakdown of old defenses, and being sucked into an impossibly complex web of expectations — matches the news cycle remarkably well. The astrology is doing what good astrology does: giving us the feeling behind the headlines.
