According to new research, positive interactions
with your partner can lower the risk of heart attack or stroke for you.
"More negative interactions between partners
were linked to having thicker carotid arteries - the blood vessels that carry
blood through the neck to the brain," Nataria Joseph from VA Greater Los
Angeles Healthcare System in California
was quoted as saying. Times of India ;

To
understand this news item we will look at the chart of the current New Moon at Los Angeles . Notice that with a Grand Cross
on the angles the New Moon is extremely significant for the place.
The New
Moon [5cn37] is placed on the IC. The stars Tejat, mu Geminorum [5cn30] of the Twins and
Murzim, beta Canis Majoris [7cn] of the Greater Dog are here. The “soul-mate”
Twins and the Greater Dog (a symbol of fidelity) bring issues of devotion and
constancy in relationships. But while the Twins hug each other also notice that Castor carries a bow and arrow in one
hand while Pollux holds a club. This implies that while they are committed to
each and in a kind of loving embrace they are often at logger heads – an important
requirement in relationships that grow and transform.
Uranus-Pluto
is about crises ..times of great upheaval that test our mettle, challenge us to
grow, help us forge our soul, and ask us to summon the courage to transform.
Mars has
been forming a T-square with Uranus-Pluto. It’s been in Libra since December 7
and leaves Libra on July 25. This is a long time for Mars to journey through Libra - the sign of relationships.
In the New Moon chart, Uranus [16ar16] is on the Ascendant while Mars [16li57]
is on the descendant [14li08]. The Sabian symbols of the three degrees [15li],
[16li] and [17li] involved here reveal an
interesting progression.
15
Libra : Circular Paths: Emphasizes the need for establishing steady or committed relationships
16
Libra: After a storm a boat landing stands in need of reconstruction.
Confrontation with broad issues of relationships often result in temporary
destruction. Relationships must then be repaired.
17
Libra: A Retired Sea Captain. A calm mind that has
now evolved and is at peace after successfully negotiating relationship issues.
The
progression here is essentially telling us that (a) steady relationships are
required (b) confrontations that take place must be dealt with in a positive
spirit so that damages are repaired (c) then growth and transformation take
place automatically. When step (b) leads to negative interactions, we see a
negative outcome characterized more by the Sabian symbol 17 Aries that is opposite – “Two
spinsters sitting in silence” representing a withdrawal from relationship
and therefore little possibility of transformation.
Rilke was one poet who probably understood the need
for relationships to move into areas that are confrontational because that alone could lead to growth and transformation.
“It is not inertia alone that is
responsible for human relationships repeating themselves from case to case,
indescribably monotonous and unrenewed: it is shyness before any sort of new,
unforeseeable experience with which one does not think oneself able to cope.
But only someone who is ready for everything, who excludes nothing, not even
the most enigmatical will live the relation to another as something alive.”
“How should we be able to forget
those ancient myths that are at the beginning of all peoples, the myths about
dragons that at the last moment turn into princesses; perhaps all the dragons
of our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us once beautiful and
brave”.
― Rainer
Maria Rilke
The
foregoing tells us that a “positive” openness to confrontational relationships can lead to
growth and transformation. What about the outcome of “negative” attitudes to
relationship interactions? Given below
is a list of the asteroids/TNP that form hard aspects to the Grand Cross and
the angles in the New Moon chart along with Martha Wescott’s delineations that
explain what happens much in line with what the new research has discovered.
Aesculapia [10cn]; Hades [3cn];
Orpheus [5cp]; Eros [8cp]; Admetus [29ta]
Admetus/Eros
This may refer to a person being "cold or hard
hearted," and you'll hear of some
obstruction, thickening or blockage that affects the cardiac system
or arteries (especially the walls of
veins or arteries).
Aesculapia/Eros
Medical matters that focus on the cardiac system.
Eros/Orpheus
Cardiac conditions that are life-threatening.
