The heads of the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia

The
powerful eclipses of September are now shaping world events. A chart for the
solar eclipse of Sept. 13 drawn for Vienna
places a Grand Cross on the angles. Mercury
and the TNP Zeus along with the asteroid Requiem are on the Ascendant as part
of a configuration containing the Uranus-Pluto square. In his essay Uranus-Pluto: War and Violence, Bill
Herbst [1] connects this combination both with war as well as with efforts for
peace.
Aries “governs” war and violence in
general. When Aries is activated as the provocateur in the Uranus-Pluto square
in the dynamic tension of juxtaposition to the institutions of society associated
with Capricorn, the symbolic possibilities dramatically increase that we would
see increased war and violence. That’s a given. The other side of the coin,
however, is that war and violence may become the target of various movements to
change the status quo of what is considered acceptable in civilization…Anti-war
movements have always existed — they ebb and flow from time to time — and non-violence as a way of
life is always embraced by some, but both of these have remained in the
minority and are generally disenfranchised, mocked, or otherwise given short
shrift by the mainstream culture. This decade represents a possible exception
to that marginalizing.
The TNP
Zeus is connected to the military and by association to war while “Requiem
stands for a place of acceptance, a cessation of struggle” [2]. So that we can
begin to see why the Grand Cross is pointing towards the possibility of peace.
In
addition, the Ascendant, Mercury and TNP Zeus are amidst the stars of the
Virgin and Bootes. Bootes was an armed herdsman, sometimes depicted with a
spear rather than a shepherd’s crook, and in China Lambda Bootis [7li] was part
of Tchao-Yao, “The Brandishing of
Arms” so that sometimes the potential for aggression and desire for domination
here can overwhelm the Virgin’s love of peace.
Many here are drawn to the exciting prospect of military glory,
authority and service; but the overlay of Libra causes the mature amongst them to
hear the Virgin’s call and become peacemakers.
So what
has triggered the eclipse? Notice that Mercury transit on October 23 conjoins
the Ascendant.
