Airbus scraps A380 superjumbo

Icarus falling

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has pulled the plug on its struggling A380 superjumbo, which entered service just 12 years ago. Airbus said last deliveries of the world's largest passenger aircraft, which cost about $25bn (£19.4bn) to develop, would be made in 2021. The decision comes after Emirates, the largest A380 customer, cut its order. The A380 faced fierce competition from smaller, more efficient aircraft and has never made a profit. Eclipses signal endings and new beginnings. The Total Lunar Eclipse of Jan. 21 is beginning to affect world events especially in those places where it aligns with the angles (horizon or meridian).  At Leiden, Netherlands where Airbus is headquartered, the eclipse Grand Cross aligns with the meridian.  The planets, asteroids and TNPs of the Grand Cross are shown in the table below.

The central aspect is the Uranus-Pluto square triggered by the Mars conjunction with Uranus today. Regular readers will recall that this square is about an ending or the collapse of a system.

Icarus, in Greek mythology, son of the inventor Daedalus who perished by flying too near the Sun with waxen wings. The asteroid Icarus is named after the Greek hero and has come to stand for flights and by association aircrafts.  The TNP Apollon is associated with business. The asteroid Atropos is about endings while Requiem is linked to death. So we are talking about the end of an aircraft business.

Finally look at the chart for the A380’s first flight on 27 April 2005. Saturn [21cn] is at the apex of a difficult T-square with the TNP Apollon (business) and the Nodes. Pluto [21cp] is currently opposite radix Saturn. Pluto is the Phoenix.  He transforms everything he touches, putting it through a metamorphosis..  He brings a symbolic death-and-rebirth experience.  If we are unwilling to change Saturn-Pluto often means death.
