Astrologers routinely draw charts for New Moons and Full Moons to assess the nature of events that are likely to take place. Here is the chart for the current New Moon of May 22 drawn for Minneapolis. Notice that the New Moon which is  square Mars straddles the horizon and is therefore significant for the place. 

Mars, the god of war, is the perfect archetype of the aggressor while the water sign Pisces is often linked to victims of aggression. It is for this reason that Mars in Pisces often brings about events in which people are victimized.  More specifically, Diana Rosenberg associates the stars that conjoin Mars [6pi] with “acts of vicious intolerance, fanaticism and terrorism” among other things.

With ongoing social unrest in Minneapolis, protests are unfolding across major US cities on Friday evening. From Washington, D.C. to New York City to Atlanta to Ohio to Los Angeles to San Jose, tens of thousands of people are marching on the street demanding justice for George Floyd, the man who was killed by Minneapolis Police on Monday.
