A White Dwarf in Aquila

Astronomers may have discovered the smallest and heaviest white dwarf star ever seen, a smoldering ember about the size of our moon but 450,000 times more massive than Earth, a new study finds. White dwarfs are usually about the size of Earth and are the cool, dim cores of dead stars that are left behind after average-size stars have exhausted their fuel and shed their outer layers. https://bit.ly/2Ty2vzs

In 1952 Swiss psychologist Carl Jung published Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle, one of the most controversial works of his career. In this book, Jung summarized decades of research on the subject of coincidence, concluding that such phenomena hold important secrets about the deeper nature of reality. For the astrologer, coincidence is the visible aspect of a more pervasive framework of design that underlies all experiences.

The White Dwarf ZTF J1901+1458 has been discovered in the constellation Aquila – the Eagle, a predator which has become a symbol of power wielding conquerors.

A White Dwarf is born when a star becomes exhausted and can no longer continue its nuclear fusion, yet, its own gravity prohibits its seemingly unavoidable collapse. A contradictory physical phenomenon prevents stellar collapse despite the lack of outward motion generally attributed to nuclear fusion.

White Dwarfs represent the collapse of the little ego, the attenuation of one's faulty psychology. In many Eastern Mysticisms initiates must relinquish the ego for the sake of the soul. The galactic analogue for this sacrifice comes from the White Dwarf. On a more western level, the process consists of going through the ego, exploiting it fully, to learn its exasperating limits. At that point, collapse to a predefined level - that of the soul - results. Here, a person realizes material limits, merits of the "real world" and pragmatic concerns. Philip Sedgwick

Coincidentally the discovery comes in the wake of the  May 26, Full Moon eclipse  that placed Pluto opposite Mars  on the meridian at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego. This opposition symbolizes the crushing of the ego (Mars) by the transformational power of Pluto (a good example is in [1]) . In Capricorn Pluto advances the dismantling of  selfish ambition, power, authority and the drive for  domination.

A White Dwarf in Aquila is symbolizing the death of “conquerors”.  More simply put, it is asking us  not only to stop trying to control people and events in our lives but also not to give in to those who might want to control us.

PS: In another coincidence, the upcoming New Moon [18cn] falls exactly opposite the ecliptic position of  the White Dwarf ZTF J1901+1458 [18cp].
