The square between Saturn and Uranus in 2021 is the defining astrological theme of the year. Astrological "squares" are known for creating tension between two points — and with this one involving Saturn, the Planet of Rules and Boundaries, and Uranus, the Planet of Freedom and Rebellion, things are about to get intense.
The clash between Saturn and Uranus often leads to the deconstruction of the status quo, including challenges to the ideals that hold our shared reality together through mutually agreed-upon social contracts.
Mars began an opposition to Saturn and a square to Uranus on
June 24 and this astral combination continues upto July 4. When Uranus the freedom fighter, with or
without a cause, is joined by Mars the
warrior who wants to fight, the need to
take a stand is intensified.
Presented here is the chart for the Mars-Saturn opposition drawn for Vienna, the location of OPEC. Notice the sharp alignment of the Mars-Saturn-Uranus T-square with the meridian. The dissonant energy is so strong that it is no surprise that one member – the UAE – demands freedom to act as it pleases.
