At least 27 people headed for the UK have drowned in the English Channel near Calais after their boat sank. The International Organization for Migration said it was the biggest single loss of life in the Channel since it began collecting data in 2014. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was "appalled" by what happened, adding the UK would leave "no stone unturned" to stop human trafficking gangs. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-59406355
As planets weave patterns in the sky they create challenges for individuals and collectives on earth. Success or failure to meet the challenge depends on our level of consciousness. The more deeply we understand the forces that affect our lives, the more free we can be in our dealings with them. If we are altogether unconscious of these potent forces, we are like puppets of the archetypes and likely to meet with failures.
On Wednesday, Nov. 24, when the tragedy took place, Mercury, the planet of travel, moved into Sagittarius, the sign associated with migration and foreign countries. Moreover, Mercury was opposite the TNP Admetus while Jupiter conjoined the Mars-Admetus midpoint. At Calais, the Mercury-Admetus-Nodal axis-Jupiter T-square aligned very significantly with the horizon.
Jupiter - > Mars/Admetus; Mercury - Admetus
Life presents major obstacles (Admetus) to travel (Mercury)...some of these may be in the area of migration (Mercury -> Sagg.). Yet some folks over-estimate (Jupiter) their abilities in their desire to break away from the restrictions (Mars-Admetus). Several instances will demand being able to say "No" so that one doesn't get over-extended or take on more than they can handle (Jupiter).
Finally, notice the T-square Pluto-Vulkanus-Apollon aligned with the meridian. A relevant interpretation for this combination would be:
Radical circumstances attend compulsion to travel to distant countries.
