In this post we shall see how the monkeypox is a manifestation of the lunar eclipse but also what it is symbolically referring to. The eclipse [25sc] makes hard aspects to the health asteroid Askalaphus [22ta] and Saturn [24aq] . Saturn because of its association with boundaries is linked to the skin [1].While Saturn and Capricorn represent structure and boundaries and the laws that make civilisation possible,often these structures can become too restrictive, so you need the maverick Aquarius to question old norms and reform society for the benefit of all.
The eclipse Moon [25sc] is placed in the third decan of Scorpio to which Coppock ascribes the image of “A Crow” noting that the essence of this face involves the putrefaction of desire. In aspect to Saturn and the medical asteroid Askalaphus, we are looking at the possibility of an inner putrefaction that reaches the skin in the form of a disease. (Think symbolically. The Azov Nazis in Ukraine with their obsession to control others also represent this putrefaction. Having surrendered they have just emerged from their underground bunkers.) Coppock wrote that the third face of Scorpio contains a “formula of liberation, for if we were not capable of laying our desires to rest, returning them to pure energy, we would be enchained forever, prisoners of what we once held dear.”
The eclipse is indicating that if we can get past our putrefying desires of greed, ambition, powerplay or aggression we will be led to improved contact with our unconscious. It is revealing a potential for tremendous spiritual and psychological growth and for becoming ourselves. Finally, it is goading us to take action on behalf of our true desires instead of refraining out of fear.
