Ceres - goddess of grain
The first meeting in months between Russia and Ukraine took a critical step toward ensuring the export of desperately needed grain from Ukraine’s Black Sea ports to help ease the global food crisis...The summit in Istanbul marked the Russian and Ukrainian governments’ first face-to-face talks since another meeting in the Turkish metropolis in late March. The phases of the Moon are among the most reliable indicators of events on earth. A New Moon or Full Moon can act as a local “step down transformer” for powerful energies generated by far away stars and planets that it aspects. To understand how their energies are focused at any place of interest astrologers routinely draw charts of monthly lunations. Here is the chart for the July 13th Full Moon drawn for Istanbul, Turkey. The Moon is conjunct Pluto while Ceres (goddess of grain) is conjunct the Sun and placed in the 6th house [1].
Sixth House In Mundane Astrology:
Food reserves, especially grains, and the farming industry.
The Moon opposing the Sun has a way of breaking deadlocks [2] and here with Ceres and the 6th house involved, the deadlock is about food grain that is held up in Ukranian ports.
Here are some other possible manifestations of the Ceres/Pluto Full Moon listed by Martha Wescott:
Reactions, events and discussions will feature such things as: megavitamin therapy, radical swings in the digestion and elimination of foods, and the interplay between food and metabolism. You'll also be aware of: care of the dying, affording food or caretakers (or financial struggles that involve a mother or children,) dominating, controlling or psychologically-canny mothers (and children!), power issues or psychological nasties in mother-child relationships, and food-related compulsive-obsessive behaviors (including both anorexia and bulemia.) As well as learning much about forgiveness when it comes to the impact of a mother, you'll see what happens when either one's mother or their children are TOO important. While nearly everyone has some emotional scars connected to their mother, I think you'll see some stronger examples of this (and that can wreck havoc with a person's relationship with food, with their stomach, and will their ability to have a clear sense of how to take care of themselves.) An issue that arises in this thing of "taking care of yourself" is that, in order to do so, you REALLY have to be true to yourself, not harbor or permit long periods of unhealthy emotions, and work to become very clear on the impact of exposure to the emotional struggles of people who are in charge of youngsters. It is in taking care of others that great life lessons can--and will--be learned... and some of those will be evident over the course of this year.
But remember the Full Moon can break some of these manifestations that have been deadlocked.
