“The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, whence the stone would fall back of its own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor.” Albert Camus’, The Myth of Sisyphus
Lula wins but his room for maneuver will be limited by powerful forces aligned against his Global South agenda. Luis Ignacio “Lula” da Silva may be the ultimate 21st century political comeback kid. At 77, fit and sharp, leading an alliance of 10 political parties, he has just been elected as Brazilian president for what will be a de facto third term after his first two from 2003 to 2010.

Pepe Escobar, the author of the article, goes on to state:
Lula’s Sisyphean task starts now.... he will face a deeply hostile Congress and Senate and even Bolsonarist governors, including in the most powerful state of the federation, Sao Paulo, which concentrates more industrial firepower than many latitudes in the Global North.
Lula’s horoscope as provided by Astro-Databank is shown here. Oxford Astrologer’s tweet is very relevant:
One of Scorpio's signifiers is the phoenix. #Lula's Sun 3° Scorpio -- just had the eclipse. Ruled by Mars, which stationed yesterday -- a comeback. He's going to have a lot of cleaning up to do right away.
But as I keep saying at this site, when you have a well timed horoscopes look for major directions. As Steven Forrest points out there is danger of getting lost in details unless we have a model to deal with the jungle of information:
In his second book, The Changing Sky, Steven Forrest presented a model for sorting through the many possible planetary configurations that present themselves in a transits and progressions reading. This system, termed "The Four Nets," is applied to the jungle of astrological symbolism, each net catching creatures in descending orders of size. In the First Net, we see all the astrological biggies—major transits and directions to and from the Sun, Moon and Ascendant for example. By the time we get to the Third or Fourth Nets, we are looking at events we might safely ignore —unless the earlier Nets have come up empty. This is a strategic, orderly, and effective method for organizing one’s approach to a transits/progressions analysis. [1]
The next question is “do we have a First Net direction in Lula’s chart?” Indeed we do! Directed solar arc Pluto [29li44] in the 11th house (along with asteroid Sisyphus [28li]) make hard aspects to the Moon [28cn] in the 8th house.
About Pluto/Sisyphus, Martha Wescott writes:
After the castle crumbles, a person needs to lick their wounds, stand up, and get on with "it."
This then becomes the “phoenix” potential that the solar eclipse on Lula’s Sun [3sc] has activated.
8th to 11th square: Partnership difficulties or your obligations to others (8th ) play havoc with your vision or ideals for the future (11th ).
This is perfectly in line with what Escobar is hinting at!
Finally, here is Lula’s current solar return chat. Notice the Saturn-Uranus square straddling the meridian. Among other things, if Uranus is about revolutions that are ungrounded or unrealistic, Saturn teaches diplomacy or political expediency.
