Synastry is a method of comparing two or more horoscopes. This makes it possible to find the interaspects, i.e. the aspects between the planets and axes of one horoscope to another one. It is an effective and easily understood method, and it can be combined with predictive tools such as progressions and transits.
Applying the rules of synastry to the horoscopes of King Charles[1] and his brother Prince Andrew [2] we find that Charles’ progressed Sun [8aq] has begun a square aspect to Andrew’s radix Neptune [9sc] which is conjunct the star omega Centaur.
Symbolically, the centaur; half man, half horse represents the danger of domination by baser influences, instincts, the unconscious uncontrolled by the spirit. The man-beast combination illustrates the conflict between man’s lower animal nature merged with his higher nature of human virtue and judgement, the struggle between the savage and the benign. In the picture above notice that the centaur is shown carrying a spear that impales a wolf. The wolf has long been a symbol of evil. The Centaur impaling Lupus alludes to the aspect of the Centaur as a punisher of the crimes of the animal half.
In a previous post Sun-Neptune synod: Unveiling of deceptions [3], I wrote:
Of all planets Neptune is adept at undermining things from within. In the material world he causes things to decay. And on the spiritual level he will eat away at everything we believe in by discrediting and casting doubt on all that we hold to be true and sacred. But Neptune cannot undermine if he did not at the same time hold before us some ideal to be contrasted with its faulty reality. If a true reality is to be appreciated and outwardly realized then a false reality must be shown up for what it is. When we truly come to understand Neptune, we may find that he is actually the revealer of reality.
Charles’ progressed Sun in hard aspect to Andrew’s Neptune has essentially brought an acknowledgement of the rot within the royal family.
Next take a look at Charles’ lunar return chart for December. As always planets on the angles are the ones to focus on. Here we have a Venus-Pluto conjunction on the descendant opposite the TNP Vulcanus on the Ascendant. Recall that Pluto was the mythological god who had abducted Persephone (Venus) so that this combination is associated with sexual abuse and pedophilia. Moreover, it is conjunct Andrew’s radix Venus-Mars [28cp] conjunction (a combination linked to sexual obsession).
