Astrology of the Indonesia earthquake

A 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia's Banda Sea on Wednesday, the United States Geological Survey said, hours after a stronger tremor hit the region, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The shallow quake, located far from the coast, hit at 8:02 pm local time (1302 GMT), the USGS said. No tsunami warning has been issued. https://tinyurl.com/bdhk75hd

Mundane Astrology is the application of astrology to world affairs and world events, taking its name from the Roman word Mundus, meaning "the World". Among the horoscopes used are those of eclipses, ingresses, lunations, exact planetary aspects etc. Like in any other branch of astrology, the four angles created by the horizon and meridian are of paramount importance. The four important angles on a chart are the Ascendant (cusp of the 1st house) Descendant (cusp of the 7th house), Midheaven (cusp of the 10th house) and IC (cusp of the 4th house). Planets and star constellations aligned with these angles always leave their mark on events.

Astrologers make a distinction among primary and secondary causes of events. For example a transit at the exact time of an event is a seondary cause much like the minute or second hand of the clock. On the other hand a primary cause, the hour hand, can be an eclipse, ingress or exact planetary aspect etc. These can be far removed in time from the actual incident.

Here is the chart for the exact time of the quake. Not very impressive. Yet it does give us a clue. The Sun-Mars opposite Uranus (not yet exact) makes hard aspects to the horizon. Uranus in the fixed earth sign Taurus is definitely “earth upheavals”. But what this chart does not answer is why the quake took place only when Uranus-Sun-Mars where making minor aspects to the horizon? Why not when they were conjunct the horizon or the meridian? That would have occurred several times on the same day or any other day close by. The answer to this question itself explains why the transit at the time of the quake is not the primary cause.

Well then what is the primary cause? Take a look at the chart for the exact Mars-Uranus opposition on Nov. 11 for the co-ordinates of Indonesia's Banda Sea. What do we see - a near perfect alignment of Mars-Uranus (violent upheavals) with the horizon.

Next we notice that Venus entered Libra on Nov 8 - a major cardinal ingress. A chart for this ingress also has the same Mars-Uranus alignment with the horizon.

PS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Banda Sea at 20:45:11 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The chart for the second quake has the Sun-Mars-Uranus closely aligned with the horizon clearly indicating the role of the combination in the upheaval discussed above.
