Iraq Moves Out Of US's Influence

With the U.S.’s current primary Middle East focus being on trying to deter a widening of the Israel-Hamas War, China and Russia have been busy cementing their influence elsewhere in the region, most recently in Iraq. This remains a key target for Beijing and Moscow to expand their presence for three main reasons.

A national horoscope, along with its derivatives, can be a source of a wealth of information. Presented here is the national chart of Iraq ( handover of power to the local government after US invasion). The combination of interest is the current Uranus transit over the radix Admetus [22ta] - Apollon [22li] quincunx. And of course the Oct.15 solar eclipse [22li] on the radix Apollon provided a powerful trigger.

Admetus/Apollon

Delays, frustrations and obstacles in business expansion. (with Uranus transit): desire for freedom from limitations.

Recall that the activation comes from a south node eclipse in Libra about which I wrote:

The South node eclipse in Libra, prompts us to reflect on our past patterns of people-pleasing tendencies and find a healthy balance in our interactions. It’s an opportune time to reevaluate our partnerships, set boundaries, and foster healthier connections. With the North Node in Aries, we are encouraged to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the qualities of Aries, such as courage, independence, and self-assertion.

So clearly Iraq is responding well!

Next we look at Iraq’s current solar return. It has Saturn [7pi] placed prominently on the Ascendant [4pi] in aspect to Admetus/Apollon.

Saturn in Pisces is a very interesting transit. If we have been living with an irrational feeling that we still have obligations to meet or actions to atone for from some intangible sense of our past, Saturn can resolve these issues and give us the strength to be self-reliant.

For Iraq this is the gift from Saturn particularly so because it is stationing direct on the solar return Ascendant!
