While air cooling is always part of the cooling solution, modern fighters cram so much heat-producing electronics into a relatively small space that air cooling alone is insufficient. Various types of liquid cooling are necessary, especially for power-hungry radars. This is particularly true of the F-35, which is advertised as a flying supercomputer crammed full of heat-producing computers, communications, and avionics equipment. When it comes to heat production, its powerful AN/APG-81 AESA radar leads the way. The bottom line is that it takes a whole bunch of electronics to produce a whole bunch of heat to give the F-35 its much-touted capabilities and make it the world’s preeminent fighter.
A previous post entitled “The horoscope of the F-35 Stealth Fighter” [1] discusses the problems associated with the aircraft. The radix chart has a Sun-Pluto conjunction opposite the TNPs Kronos-Hades. Pluto is placed amid the stars of the Eagle and the Archer often jointly depicted as in the image above which resembles a modern day fighter aircraft!
In addition, Martha Wescott links the TNP Kronos to “aircrafts” and the TNP Hades to “mistakes” or “messy situations” as well as to things that are “hidden” or “secret” . So combining Kronos with Hades has two distinct meanings.
Kronos-Hades: a “hidden” ( radar evading/stealth?) aircraft ; a messy situation with an aircraft.
Pluto often functions to reveal problems that may have been hidden. Pluto is about integrity. Think of integrity as an unimpaired condition or soundness. In its positive expression, Pluto reveals all that makes something unsound or impaired.
Regardless of the validity of the claims to preeminence, there is zero doubt that the F-35’s designers designed a fighter that, from the outset, had insufficient cooling. This nearly intractable problem has been exacerbated as new capabilities are added, requiring more computing power and generating more heat.
In this post we examine whether the horoscope of the F-35 [1] contains any indications of a possible cooling problem. And what do we find? Uranus [11pi] (computers and electronics) is in a sharp waxing quincunx aspect with the TNP Zeus [11li] (machines;heat; military) both triggered by the progressed Sun [12cp].
In astrology a waxing quincunx (150deg,) is like a Virgo (or 6th house) aspect emphasizing a need for improvement usually following a grand, extravagant or over the top action (Leo). Recall that Virgo is the “humbling” stage of the “proud” Leo. The Uranus-Zeus connection of course tells us the problem lies in the heat (Zeus) generated by the electronics (Uranus).
And if wish to answer “Why now”, well in addition to a solar diirection triggering the quincunx we have (a) October solar eclipse [10li] conjunct the TNP Zeus (b) Saturn has just stationed direct conjunct radix Uranus.
Saturn and Uranus possess contrasting qualities. Saturn’s push to build safe and enduring structures can come into conflict with the accelerated vision of Uranus that resists restrictions and insists on making innovative changes to the status quo. When Saturn meets up with Uranus, it demands a maturer approach to innovation.
The Sabian symbol of radix Uranus would appear to suggest just that!
