As the end nears, astrologically we can see transit Pluto which has just entered Aquarius is moving over Ukraine’s radix Saturn [1aq31].
The following passage from Steven Forrest’s The Book of Pluto, delineates a Saturn-Pluto transit:

In all the strands of a normal life – career, relationship, spirituality and family – we will likely have to come to terms with the loss of love, of position, of health and of our hopes – often as a result of an unexpected, unwelcome, forceful or stormy event. It is better to recognise the positive aspect of crisis. Without it, opportunities for maximum self-development are rare, and the bonding convergence of relationships is absent. Life needs crisis to deepen.
Finally the “immediate trigger” is the Nov Full Moon conjunct Uranus (sudden upheavals) which fell very significantly on the meridian at Kiev conjunct the dreaded star ALGOLwhich the Chinese referred to as a pile of corpses!
