Gen Z Is Changing The Drinking Landscape

Neptune as Dionysus - god of wine

Is this the last call for alcohol? Younger generations, particularly Gen Z, are driving a sober revolution fueled by social media and a growing interest in wellness and mental health. An NC Solutions consumer sentiment survey of more than 1000 people over 21 found that nearly half of Americans expressed a desire to cut back on drinking in 2025. The shift is most pronounced among Gen Z—those born between 1997 and 2012, with 65 percent aiming to drink less in 2025 and 39 percent planning to abstain entirely. In astrology, Neptune, representing spirituality, intuition, and the mystical, is often associated with the Greek god Dionysus, the god of wine, who embodies passion, ecstasy, and the blurring of boundaries. In the average person who cannot reach the mystical or spiritual state, the shadow side of Neptune the boundary-dissolving nature causes delusions.

In the US Sibly, directed Saturn [21ge] is now in hard aspect to radix Mars [21ge] - Neptune [22vi]. Mars is the ruler of the 5th house which among other things rules the younger generation.

With Saturn aspecting Neptune, the younger generation is championing a return to reality and rejecting delusions and of course alcohol too! And can it be a coincidence that the news comes to us just as the  total lunar eclipse of March 14 [23vi] falls on the Sibly Neptune!!
