On Wednesday, a cache of dazzling jewels linked to the Buddha's mortal remains, which have been hailed as one of the most astonishing archaeological finds of the modern era, will go under the hammer at Sotheby's in Hong Kong. For over a century these relics, unearthed from a dusty mound in northern India in 1898, have sat largely unseen, cradled by a private British collection.

To understand this news we begin with the total lunar eclipse of March 14 at Birdpur where the relics were discovered.in 1898 [1]. The eclipse is significant for the place since it aligns with the meridian.
The eclipse Moon along with the South Node is conjunct the stars Denebola, Alkes, Benatnash and Zavijava.
Denebola, Benatnash and Zavijava, embody the diversionary tactics, usually of a grandiose scale and glamorous facade, a front large enough to draw attention away from what is really going on by making the masses believe the staged show is what is of extreme importance and of real issue hiding corruption at the highest of levels. [2] (Think of the Sotheby auction of a Master’s relics)
Curiously conjoining Denebola and Benatnash is Alkes of Crateris, the Cup. Here we find the way, the salvation, the greater spiritual fulfillment that we seek lying submerged under the the diversionary shenanigans perpetuated by egoic figureheads on stage. The mixed theme indicates both spiritual figures or hot-air wanna-be-guru types so the issue of discernment arises
The Crater or Cup is a symbol that is rich in meaning and symbolism. It is associated with the Holy Grail, traditionally thought to be the cup Jesus Christ used at the Last Supper. This connection makes it a significant Christian relic. The Sacred Cup or Grail containing the draught of life is, therefore, a symbol of the spiritual life and by association can be related to relics of other spiritual masters.
The Vase of Inexhaustible Treasures is also known as “The Treasure Chest.” It symbolizes the spiritual abundance of the Buddha. No matter how much of Buddha's treasure he gave away, the amount of treasure in his chest never diminished. Despite the fact that Buddha's teachings have been dispersed to billions of people over the ages, his love and wisdom will never dimish.
If we now progress the eclipse chart to May 7 at Hong Kong where the relics will be auctioned we find that the eclipse axis aligns perfectly with the horizon removing any doubts about the “staged show” in the name of a great Master.
