Often a powerful planetary combination in the heavens is best understood through some real world news events. In mid-May we are witnessing a slow moving configuration - Jupiter (in Gemini) square the South Node (in Virgo) - North Node (in Pisces).
Lunar Nodes squares are actually amazing aspects, full of potential – even though squares generally have a reputation for creating tension. However, when it’s the Nodes squaring a planet, we have an opportunity to really break free from past conditioning.
With South Node in Virgo, this is the perfect time to change our routine so that we give ourselves extra time to fill our own cups, since we may easily burn out by over extending ourselves to others if we don't.
Jupiter in Gemini is the stories we tell ourselves – the ones we’ve been repeating since forever, because these were the stories we’ve been brought into. Jupiter is what coaches and psychologists call “mindset” – a deeply ingrained framework that holds so much power over our lives, it goes so deep, that we don’t even consider questioning it. Yet, with the Nodes squaring the planets of beliefs that’s exactly what we need to do.
A planet square the Nodes solves that karmic puzzle because it approaches the dynamic tension from both angles – the past (South Node) and the future (North Node) – creating a bridge that helps integrate and resolve the lessons of both.
Saturn has been squaring Jupiter for a while, and it’s been tough. Jupiter square Saturn pointed to issues “Look at this big thing that doesn’t work in your life” but it might not have been very helpful in actually helping us move forward.
The Nodal-Jupiter square, however, should do the trick, offering us a real catharsis and release of the unconscious blockages that have kept us stuck in the past. [1]
The Sabian symbols of Jupiter (Gemini 26) and the South Node (Virgo 26) - North Node (Pisces 26) offer more clarity.
PHASE 86 (GEMINI 26°): FROST-COVERED TREES AGAINST WINTER SKIES.
KEYNOTE: The revelation of archetypal form and essential rhythm of existence.
We must be ready to go through a process of removal of all superficialities of existence (all that belong to the "leaf" realm). To solve any issue attempts must be made to get to the “root causes”
To do this we must cross the rainbow bridge from the South Node symbol to the North Node symbol.
PHASE 176 (VIRGO 26°): A BOY WITH A CENSER SERVES THE PRIEST NEAR THE ALTAR.
Since this is the South Node (patterns to leave behind) we must stop all kinds of meaningless service to others.
PHASE 356 (PISCES 26°): WATCHING THE VERY THIN MOON CRESCENT APPEARING AT SUNSET, DIFFERENT PEOPLE REALIZE THAT THE TIME HAS COME TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS.
Since this is the North Node (patterns to adopt) symbol, we must recognize that the time has come to let people go their own way.
Here are two charts (a) exact square of Jupiter to Nodes at Washington DC (b) the Wynn Key Return for the European Union chart. Notice that in both cases the T-square is significantly aligned with the angles.
Can it be a coincidence that the US under Trump is extricating itself from the Ukraine crisis..responding to the North Node symbol by letting Ukraine go its own way . On the other hand the European Union, responding more to meaningless service symbol of the South Node, is doubling down on its help for Ukraine.
Finally the Wynn Key Return return for Russia has the same configuration angular. And Russia responding to the Sabian for apex Jupiter, is adamant that “root causes” for the war (NATO’s expansion to the borders of Russia) must be addressed under a plan that provides comprehensive security for all.
