Tiny “soldier bugs” inspire us to renew our lives

These tiny soldiers can eat four times their own weight in organic waste – and turn it into sustainable fertiliser...."They can reproduce pretty quickly too," says Shankar Ganapathi Shanmugam, assistant research professor in the department of plant and soil sciences at Mississippi State University. "And it [BSFL] grows on dead and decaying material, which means that it can survive on waste."  BBC Earth Feb 4, 2025

The sidereal Capricorn ingress of the Sun on Jan. 15, 2025 often referred to as the "Capsolar" in sidereal astrology, holds a special place in mundane astrology. It is considered the "master chart" of the year. Drawn for any location of interest, it is becomes significantt if planets are near the horizon or meridian axis. The powerful Sun-Pluto-Mars-Vulcanus opposition aligned with meridianat London, influences the news story from BBC Earth.

Diana Rosenberg links the stars on the MC with “toxic environmental conditions” and Nick Fiorenza adds:

Praesepe, the essence of the Scarab (the dung beetle) / Cancer theme impels our emergence out of the antiquated entrapments we had been living in, whether leaving physical dwellings or antiquated structures of consciousness.

The beetles mentioned in the news are similar to dung beetles, which bury and consume animal dung, mixing it with soil to recycle nutrients like nitrogen. This process, called bioturbation, aerates the soil, improving its structure and water-holding capacity, which boosts plant growth, especially in agricultural and rehabilitated industrial areas.

With Pluto, the planet astrologers associate with death and regeneration [1], on the IC opposite Praesepe on the MC we can see how their energies combine to give us the news story. Moreover, the presence of the “warrior” god Mars in the mix can be seen as a direct reference to the tiny soldiers beetles.

Metaphorically speaking, there is deeper symbolic meaning here that was discussed in [1] wherein we mentioned: Mars is in the Punarvasu nakshatra of Vedic astrology, which signifies renewal," "rejuvenation," and the ability to bounce back from challenges, representing a deep inner strength to restart, replenish, and grow after a period of setback.
