Is The G7 Representative Of The World It's Trying To Lead?

The leaders of some of the world’s wealthiest countries traveled to Kananaskis in Alberta, Canada this week, where the 51st G7 Summit takes place from June 16 to 17. But, as Statista's Felix Richter reports, while the Group of Seven, as the G7 is officially called, still claims a global leadership role, experts are questioning the bloc’s relevance against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving global economy. In 2018, Jim O’Neill and Alessio Terzi, both former fellows of economic policy think tank Bruegel wrote that the G7:“in its current formulation, no longer has a reason to exist, and it should be replaced with a more representative group of countries.”

The Group of Seven, made up of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US. was formed on 15 November 1975, at Château de Rambouillet, Rambouillet, France just after the solar eclipse of 3 November 1975. A chart of this eclipse at Rambouillet will therefore contain secrets of its birth and death.

For a start we notice a powerful T-square comprising Uranus-Cupido-Saturn-Admetus straddling the horizon. The MC [2sa] is delta Ophiuchi - one of the stars making up the Chinese asterism - T’ien-Chi, the Celestial Market. The G7 was formed to foster economic cooperation among leading industrial nations - a kind of a trading bloc echoing the Chinese Celestial Market.

The presence of the TNPs Cupido (group) - Admetus (exclusive) is essentially saying that the group has limited members. With the passage of Pluto over the Ascendant completing a Grand Cross we are now seeing the need to restructure (Pluto) the group (Cupido).

Finally take a look at the Aries ingress chart (precession corrected) at Kananaskis ,Alberta, Canada, progressed to June 16-17, the date of G7 meeting. Notice the powerful T-square comprising Pluto-Apollon-Vulcanus aligned with the meridian.

In Uranian astrology, Apollon, one of the eight hypothetical trans-Neptunian planets, is associated with expansion, growth, commerce, trade, and science. With the TNP Vulcanus providing the pressure and Pluto insisting on restructing or change, we can see the need to expand and bring in more members to keep the economic group relevant.
