The YouTube video referenced focuses on an ecological restoration project in China's Kubuqi Desert. Wang Wenbao (also known as the "Desert King") is a Chinese environmentalist and former teacher from Inner Mongolia. He is not a physicist or traditional scientist but an innovator in sustainable land reclamation.

The "experiment" mentioned in the video refers to Wang Wenbao's pioneering ecological restoration initiative in the Kubuqi Desert in 1988 (also spelled Hobq Desert), one of China's most arid regions. Starting Location was Hanggin Banner (Hangjinqi), near the Yellow River bend, western edge of Kubuqi Desert, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. Precise Coordinates of First Experimental Plot 40.283° N, 108.683° E (±500 m)

A chart of a September 1988 eclipse drawn for the location of the start of the project helps explain the desert project. The eclipse 18 vi 40' is placed significantly on the MC [20vi37] conjunct the star Alkes. Alkes, also known as Alpha Crateris (α Crt), is the primary star in the constellation Crater (the Cup), positioned at the base of the celestial vessel. In fixed star astrology, it is located at approximately 23°41′ Authorities emphasize its benevolent, Neptunian influence—linked to water, creativity, and eminence—often moderated by themes of environmental guardianship. George Noonan adds “careers in landscape architecture” while Marina @ Darkstar Astrology associates it with “lush gardens”. Together these describe Wang Wenbao - the "Desert King"’s efforts.

The eclipse North Node [14pi06] is placed in the fourth house associated with land and agriculture conjunct the star Ankaa [15pi20] of the Phoenix - the Firebird that dies and comes back to life symbolizing regeneration.

Next note that the eclipse Moon is in paran aspect to the star Arneb (α Leporis) - the "hare" associated with speed and fertility. (Deborah Houlding: Favors reproductive success; Marina @ Darkstar Astrology:breeding programs)

And finally I leave viewers with an extract from Susan Chang’s “36 Secrets” on the Tarot Cards. The card applicable to the eclipse in the second decan of Virgo is “Nine of Pentacles” About this card she writes:

Welcome to the beautifully curated garden of the Little Empress - a woman who has accomplished works of great beauty and created her own little world. At the touch of her hand, that which is useful and lovely seems to bloom and grow.
